Ann and Peter

We first called Fairney and Sons in April, 2024 regarding a small flood at the front of our basement. Bill arrived very promptly and gave us his verdict on the probable cause. We have had a fair amount of work done to address this issue a few years ago, but were never really satisfied with the company that we used. After some extensive discussion and consultation, we decided to go along with Bill's recommendations. The work was completed within a matter of a few days. The tradesmen were always on time, careful about clean up, polite and friendly. We were more than satisfied and went ahead with plans to renovate our bathroom sometime in November, using Fairney and Sons people. In July we found that we had more water in our basement. But this time at the back of the house, again in an area that had supposedly been sealed by the same, unnamed company that we had the misfortune to use before. We called Bill and he arrived promptly and arranged for work to proceed to solve this new issue. Unfortunately, our wooden deck had to be removed in order for the work to be completed on the back wall. Fairney and Sons came through with an excellent team of tradesmen and build us a lovely new deck as well as finally solving our basement water problems. In August we were faced with another water issue. Our bathroom began leaking water into our kitchen which we had renovated a few years ago at some considerable cost. Needless to say, we called Bill back and asked if he might move our bathroom renovation forward. He rearranged some of his work teams schedules and had a crew in by early October. We worked closely with Adam and Trevor as they guided us through the various stages of the transformation. Plumbers and tilers came by, all when they were scheduled to arrive. The work was completed efficiently and expertly. Everybody that we met that was associated with Fairney and Sons was very professional, respectful and a delight to have in our house. As part of the bathroom renovation, a vent had to be hooked up through our roof. Upon inspection it was pointed out that our chimney was in sore need of repair. We already knew about this and asked if Fairney and Sons could solve that problem as well, which, of course they could and did. This had been a bad summer for us, in terms of household distress. However, we feel very fortunate that we answered that flyer that was dropped in our mailbox all those months ago. Everybody associated with this company is reliable, friendly and professional. We certainly hope that we don't need their services in the future, but if we do, they will get the call. We highly recommend Fairney and Sons Ltd. for all of your home repair needs.
