I decided it was time for an upgrade to an old A/V receiver I had had for some time and bought one from a big box store. I went looking for someone to install it and get all the other components to work with it. At the same time, I was looking to upgrade my HDMI cable that went from my cabinet to the TV in the family room. I made a couple of calls and was almost immediately contacted by Aaron from Think Cinema, who offered to come out and look things over. When he arrived, we discussed my needs and it became obvious that Aaron knew a heck of a lot more than I did. He suggested that I purchase an AV receiver different from the one I had purchased. Also suggested that I go with 8K HDMI cable to future proof my system to some extent. Also suggested a wireless all in one remote that controlled all of my components in addition to installing an Apple TV box. I asked about my rear speakers which weren't providing the surround sound I was expecting. He suggested a good upgrade and also suggested a new subwoofer. He got me a quote for all of these items very quickly and I agreed to proceed. Once he had all of the equipment, Aaron set up two days to work with things and install them. He had a worker there to help run new cable to my TV in the other room. Because the original cable had been installed at the same time that new cabinetry had been put in, they were unable to fish the cable through the same route, however, they did a good job of finding an alternative. This will require a little extra work on the cabinet, but it was a satisfactory solution to a somewhat difficult problem. Aaron set everything up, had it all working on one remote and balanced the sound of the system as well as adjusting the TV settings. I was very comfortable with Aaron and very impressed with his service and excellent advice.

Old drum humidifier was on it's last legs. Called Appleby for a recommendation and a quote. Didn't take long to get an appointment. Trevor, the serviceman, arrived on time and removed the old monster and installed a new Aprilaire model 400. Very neat job and done in short order! Also noticed that duct work was very dirty. I asked for a recommendation and he referred me to the head office, who passed me along to the duct cleaning company they recommend. Very happy with the service.

Was told by another vendor that, due to the size and lack of clearance with my kitchen cabinets, my window couldn't accommodate California shutters. Kingsway offered a couple of suggestions, sent someone to the house to measure and provided California shutters that worked really well. Good turnaround time from order to installation and excellent job on install! Thanks to Manny, Alec and everyone else that helped me.
