He diagnosed the problem as resulting from a too-small chimney cap and decorative stucco ledges where water sat instead of running off. The team that came with Dave was just like Dave in their competence and courtesy. They discovered that the wood panels behind the stucco were completely rotted through; Dave was right, it wasn’t a bird problem but a water-stucco problem. NexGen took a couple of days to demo, rebuild the chimney and apply stucco. We are very happy with the end result and the things we learned from the team along the way. A suggestion: chat with your neighbours when NexGen is coming, just in case the team needs to get into your neighbour’s yard to erect scaffolding. Thanks, Dave and NexGen!!
