When it comes to shopping for the perfect door, you have to be very careful with whom you choose for many reasons. Proper installation is key, plus in many ways your front door is the statement to the sense of style you wish your home to have. For myself, I have what I like to call "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget". With budget in mind I had searched through (for 8 years) a great deal of door companies and they all went well over my budget (up to $1,600 over my budget and one quote was from a major home hardware retailer). Well good things come to those who wait (and to those who shop around!). Canadian Choice Windows Calgary (CCWC) had just replaced the windows on my friends home so I thought I'd give them a try. Their sales rep was friendly, easy going and understanding. Ahead of time, I knew the exact door I wanted and how I wanted it to look so that made the selection process very easy. I'd like to add, their selection for doors was amazing! CCWC's quote came in right under budget, including the new door jam, the paint, as well as the installation. One of the great features with this company is that it sells products that are made and built right in Alberta, so in turn you are supporting a local company. The installation team installed the door very well. What impressed me, is they took the time to ensure proper installation. Right up to how the door feels when it opens and closes. Their knowledge of the process and their skill shows today an excellent installation. I am very grateful for the amazing team at CCWC, and I look forward to working with them again in the future!

I am very much impressed with Smiths Gardening Services Ltd.! From the estimate; Travis had excellent advice and ideas for replacing our old wooden fence. Chainlink was a better option for our budget. Everything went according to plan from the day they started. Organized and efficient. They were more than happy to explain the process along the way. The chain link fence took only a day to set up. I also have an eye for detail and I could not find a single thing out of place with their progress. In the end, the fence turned out excellent! Everything was to perfection and my neighbors, my husband and I are very much impressed with the final result.

We originally hired Certapro to paint our entire basement when we moved into our home. They did a terrific job. When it came time to have children we had them paint their rooms as well. Most companies have minimum, but because we had done a larger job with them before, they were willing to do the rooms. Last June we had them back to paint the rest of our house. They had started painting already when I realized the color was wrong. They stopped what they were doing and helped me find a more appropriate color. They were flexible enough to stop and get new paint and start all over again and I didn’t hear one complaint. When it was time to paint the dining room, I hadn’t had a chance to prep the room first and they even helped me take the room apart to start painting. They have been so accommodating to our life and schedule; coming in the evenings for quotes and so forth. I’ve grown pretty attached to our painters, they’ve seen us as new home owners, to having children and then update our home. They’re an awesome team and we are very thankful.
