Why did I hire Jovian? - I talked to a 3 other contractors for my initial job this spring- the interlocking around my house. Of the bunch, call it a gut feel - but I trusted Jovian from the get-go. His pricing was in line with the others, but came across as professional, knowledgeable but most of all - I TRUSTED that he would do a great job. Jovian was able to get our job done quickly from the time he came out to look at the job, and has made our home beautiful! We did have an issue with some of the stones sinking a few days after they were laid (in this horrible wet spring) but a quick call to Jovian, and he has his team out to fix our issue within a few days of being notified - he didn't want us to have to look at the imperfection! This meant a lot - he promised me that our place would look beautiful, and he stood by his promise! After my experience with the interlock, I since hired him to do an armour stone wall down the side of my soon-to-be new driveway. He was the only one I had design and quote on this job - as I was so confident that he was the one I wanted to do this work for us. If I have any further landscaping work where I require a contractor - I will be calling Jovian and his team. I found Jovian through HomeStars...and I'm glad I did.

We were referred to use Bart's services from a renovation contractor we were considering (that we never ended up using). While the end product (our addition) looks fantastic, it took a lot of pain to get there. Some of the chief issues: The final plan he created was riddled with measurement errors, and there were cases were the drawings did not match the wording on the plans (ie sizes of beams to use). This created numerous challenges for our general contractor. As well, when we needed a revision to the drawings for a change we decided to make after the final drawings were done, we were charged significantly! At that point we had no negotiation room as we needed the original architect to amend the plans. As mentioned, the final products looks great - so Bart does design lovely things. For us, it was the process to get there was very bumpy!
