John and his team were a great example of how a reno should go. During the initial quote, he took some extra time to check in the bsmt if we had galvanized pipes (which would increase our cost). His knowledge and experience was clearly apparent in our conversations. He is a direct communicator who doesn't overpromise and has high regard for his staff and their skill set. I felt comfortable in trusting the staff to their work as there was regular communication and the work quality was easily discernable. The main staff (Olympio and Calin) were very skilled, efficient, and respectful workers. They kept to their proposed timelines. John was prompt in answering any of my questions via email throughout the process. I would rehire Avonlea again as they made this process comfortable and safe, especially for a homeowner with a first-time reno.

So happy with Brock, from beginning to end-- all staff were professional, capable, and helpful. Walter the sales rep. was a straight shooter, both personable and genuine, and in touch with the needs of his customers. For installation, Mike and his team had their work cut out for them on our nearly 100 year old house. They did a great job, and the windows and door make a world of difference on the noise and prevention of heat loss! I initially contacted another 'reputable' company listed on Homestars (with a higher rating) that I booked for a quote, and called them when they didn't show for their appointment. I was told by the rep that he drove by, and wasn't going to bother showing for a quote because our street was 'too busy' to work on (but didn't have the courtesy to call me and let me know he was bailing on the appointment. I wasted an hour waiting.) Rather unprofessional behaviour for a potential customer. I was worried maybe that it would be difficult to find a good company to do the work. I was wrong. Brock was all aces from start to finish.The staff at Brock were in and out quickly, with minimal interruption, biding by all their foresaid timelines, and completing the job efficiently and with care.
