We had on our fall "to do" list to have some pruning and tree removal done. We noticed our neighbours were having their trees pruned and we ended up talking to Enrique from Professional Tree Services - he had some great ideas for pruning the trees to still keep an attractive shape and some shade for hot days. His attitude was great and he gave a very fair quote. The work was complicated because many of the limbs were between telephone and cable wires. He and his company were back first thing Monday morning and by the time we were home from work it was like he had never been there (except our back yard looked much better). All branches and an entire tree had been removed and it was very neat and tidy. I will definitely use Enrique again! Thanks for the great service.

We were very happy with the speed that Peter from Derek's Tree Service came out to give us a quote to have a large pine tree on our front lawn and some Manitoba maples in our parking space trimmed as well as a cedar tree removed. The quote was fine and his crew came out on time and did a great job trimming the trees and removing all the debris. Overall a great experience and we would have rated them higher, however two branches in the pine tree which were caught up in our telephone wires were not trimmed. We spoke to Peter about the oversight and he commented that they are in our area all the time and one day we would come home from work and they would be cut back. We came home from work and the remaining branches were cut back this week.... well done Derek's Tree Service!

We hired Jane to build a supporting interior wall and finish a small room in our basement. Jane did a fantastic job which included building the supporting wall, insulating, drywalling the walls and ceiling, building a window frame as well as painting and installing lights. She was in and out in less that a week and left the work site very clean. We loved the fact that she was 100% committed to our project rather than jumping around between several client sites as many contractors do. The work was completed on time and on budget! Thanks Jane!

We hired Jamie and his crew from RCC to do some waterproofing for our 100 year old house. We were also hoping that they would enlarge one of our basement windows to bring a new washer and dryer since we could not fit full sized machines down our stairs. The team from RCC was terrific. They enlarged our window space, brought in our new machines, installed a new window AND did our waterproofing. Our foundation was in pretty poor shape and they were worried about tamping down the soil, preferring to let it settle in naturally. They promised to come back in 3 months to remove any excess soil that had not resettled and put our fence back. We had our doubts, but since we had read such great reviews we hoped for the best! Sure enough three months later after a quick e-mail reminder to Jamie, our excess soil was removed and our fence was back in place. Thanks RCC - great job!

We experienced a flood in our basement on a Sunday night - that night we e-mailed a few people asking for some recommendations for a plumber and Drainworks came highly recommended. I called the next morning and Mike arrived very promptly (within half an hour of my call). My husband was out of town so I was left to make the arrangements for the repair. As a woman I'm always wary of trades because I feel generally the trades are very dismissive of women and prone to pressure and overselling. What a delight to have the extremely professional staff at Drainworks. From the telephone reception to the Mike and his crew everyone was great. I received a quote, the crew was there on time the next morning. They worked all day in the rain, finished on-time, gave me the number to call for the city to do their inspection! I could not have asked for better service. I initially arranged to have Drainworks come the day after the work was complete for the final inspection and payment, however I ended up with another commitment the next morning. I called at the end of the day (4 p.m.) and asked if it was possible to have the inspection and payment the same day and within half an hour Jeremy arrived to do the final inspection. Even though he had not been involved in the project he was fully informed and was able to finish everything within 45 minutes. What a great company. While I would be happy not to need their services again, if I do require any plumbing services, I would call them in an instant.
