Adept had performed a small project in the past for us and kept in touch over the years. When it came time for us to scope out our project to enclose a second floor balcony in our century-old home, Stephen and his team responded immediately to our call to contractors for estimates. In his initial visit Stephen came by and spent a couple of hours with us to plan out the project educating us and helping us understand how Adept would help us realize our plans for this unique space. After presenting us with a few options, we were able to come up with a plan to proceed. A contract was drawn up which laid out scope of activities and payment schedules. Inevitable changes to scope when working with an older home were fully discussed, approved and documented. The project involved integrating other contractors who were engaged separately and Adept worked to integrate them as much as possible into the overall project. Throughout the project Stephen was very good about keeping us up to date on the status of the project. His team was courteous, professional, and clean. He absorbed costs that he felt were errors on his end, and made changes to his schedule to accommodate changes on our end (which we had previously opted out of in his original scoping). We are very happy with the way this project has turned out and are looking forward to working with Adept again on future projects to improve our home.
