Matt and his team completed a number of plumbing and home repairs for us. Everything was done expertly and it was a pleasure working with the team. We had a leak from a bathroom into our living room. Matt found where the leak was originating (bathtub) and repaired it. Rafael, a member of the team, then repaired the water damage on the living room ceiling. The repair work is so good that you would never notice where the patch is located. We had a shower with terrible water pressure, so Matt replaced the shower valve and shower head. Now it feels like we are showering at a high end hotel. Rafael did another excellent patch in the bathroom where the valve change required a hole be cut in the wall. We had a leaking toilet that was installed on a very uneven floor. Other plumbers had not been able to fix it and we feared we may need to rip up the bathroom floor. But Matt was certain that it could be fixed. It took multiple attempts and visits using different materials (flanges?), but Matt was persistent and patient and now it works perfectly. Other repairs included fixing a plugged toilet and a slow draining sink, replacing an outdoor vent cap, replacing a kitchen faucet handle and cartridge to stop it dripping, replacing a bathroom faucet, and fixing a second leaking toilet. And one of my favourite fixes was extending an outdoor water spigot that had been very difficult to access. Matt also replaced the circular knob with a much easier to use little lever. We had accumulated quite the to-do list and we are so happy that we found Matt to deal with it all. He and his team were professional, friendly, punctual and very skilled. And the rates were very reasonable. Thank you Matt and team for everything!

Super impressed with this company. They quickly scheduled an appointment for me, and the plumber, Calvin, showed up right on time. He inspected my wonky toilets along with a few other items that I had questions about. He provided me with multiple options and I decided to install three new toilets. He worked diligently for a good chunk of the day and was always very professional, polite and careful with keeping all work areas clean. We are very happy with the new toilets and our experience with Hoerner.

We have a two-storey tall window with lots of wood trim that was rotting out regularly. We were tired of constantly replacing the wood and having it painted, so contacted Rolando after being impressed with the work that he did for one of our neighbours. The window trim was a bit detailed, but Rolando was meticulous in making it look amazing. We now have maintenance-free trim that looks great. Rolando was a pleasure to deal with - very professional, punctual, and skilled.

Adriano provided us with excellent service in repairing a number of issues with our stacked washer and dryer. He was quick to respond to my initial call, came promptly the following day to fully diagnose the problems, ordered the parts and returned a few days later to get everything back in perfect working order. Adriano was extremely polite and professional and was very patient and creative in dealing with our units that were stacked in a tough to access location. Thank you so much Adriano for the great work. We very much appreciate it.

We are very happy with the work that Rob and his team did for us. We first worked with Rob to repair water damage in our house caused by water leakage from ice damming. Rob's Renos installed new insulation, new drywall for walls and ceilings, and reinstalled baseboards and other mouldings throughout a large part of our house. He had to contend with some tricky areas including sloped ceilings, and tight corners in a two-story high foyer. All of the work was completed so well that no one, including our painter could tell where the damage had been. Rob was also very patient with problems that arose such as discovering at the end of the job that one piece of baseboard was missing (thrown out by the demolition team sent by insurance). He made a special trip out to the lumber yard to find a good match and an extra trip to our house to install it. We were so impressed with the caliber of the work that we asked Rob and his wonderful taper, Luis, to refinish our basement walls. They had not been properly taped and sanded and were looking quite bad with lots of bubbled up tape everywhere. We also wanted to remove an ugly half-door that led to our utility room and install a full-size door. Luis worked tirelessly to get the basement in good shape. It turned into a bigger job than expected, but he was very conscientious about showing us the work that needed to be done and getting our approval. The door turned out to be a less than straightforward job, due to our wonky framing. But Rob would not rest until it was successfully installed. It required a number of modifications and extra trips, but in the end it is beautiful: looks and works great. A big thank you to you Rob and your wonderful team for getting our house looking better than ever.

I contacted Mark at Envirotech Insulation because I wanted to find a good alternative to spray foam to insulate some tricky spaces in my home. We had poorly-insulated cathedral ceilings and knee-wall spaces that had contributed to problems with ice-damming. Mark very carefully examined the areas and recommended that we use dense-packed cellulose. This would give us a great R-value without having to rip out and then replace drywall and without having to use spray-foam. He also suggested that we add insulation to our attic floor. His crew arrived on time on the scheduled day, creatively solved a few problems that arose during the installation (due to construction issues with our house) and cleaned up well once the job was done. Unfortunately, after they left, I realized that one of the knee-wall spaces had been missed due to an honest communication error. I contacted Mark and he promptly came to my home to inspect the area. He arranged a day for the crew to come back and look after it and he only charged for the extra materials used ($100). I am very pleased with the professionalism, knowledge and honesty of Mark and his employees.

Fantastic experience with Downtown Roofing. We had big problems with ice damming and leaking this past winter, as well as leaking during heavy rains. I met with many roofing companies but was most impressed with Joe from Downtown Roofing. He came to do an estimate the same day that I called him and was very thorough in examining our roof and attic. He actually went up onto our very high and steep roof and also went into the attic. He suggested a number of solutions to our problems and was very patient with all of my questions. Aaron and the crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day and worked diligently to complete the work. Joe was often here to inspect and do some of the work himself. Everyone was always very courteous and professional. They cleaned up extremely well at the end of each day. Even though the job took one day longer than anticipated, there was no increase in the quoted price. A neighbour who works in commercial building management says that the new roof looks great. Another neighbour was also impressed and has had Downtown Roofing do her roof as well. We have had a number of heavy rains since the roof was completed and our house is lovely and dry. We are so happy that we chose to work with Downtown Roofing.

Great experience with Paul from Kitchenfix. Our kitchen cupboard door had cracked around the hinge mounting. Paul came two days after I contacted him and quickly repaired the door by mounting new hinges. He also adjusted some of the other hinges. The work was completed perfectly and the price was exactly what he quoted. Door is better than new and I am planning to have him come back and replace all our other kitchen hinges.
