I lived with ugly countertops for 5 years and I had enough. I couldn't bare to look at them anymore (imagine a dull, medical facility blue...made my kitchen and washroom look like a doctor's counter). I placed the project request on homestars and i was most impressed with Tania's vision! And i saved huge! Rather than going with expensive granite, she showed me her method of doing a faux granite paint and i can't even tell the difference! It's got that nice gloss window finish, she created the exact appearance i asked for (black and grey with specks of reflective faux minerals to make it sparkle) and it's gorgeous!! now i can finally look at my kitchen and washroom and not get that bitter angry feeling from being unsatisfied with how it looks. Tania is incredibly sweet, kind and her husband is equally nice and very thoughtful. they talked me thru the process, told me exactly what to expect at each stage and I never felt anxious or uncertain. These two are rock stars. If you need your counters refurbished/refinished/refaced, go ask tania what she can do for you. I'm so glad I decided to give it a shot!

I found Neil Sharma by searching online, he came highly recommended so I gave him a call and Neil didn't disappoint! Very nice, kind man and came right on time! explained everything to me and never made me feel dumb for asking newbie questions! Very fair pricing and gave me maintenance tips! I will hire him again for sure for future jobs! 1 month update: I had to come back to give an update because i am even more pleased than i was initially! Originally i had called Neil to come install a living room light fixture and to also quote me on a price for replacing my bathroom spotlights as well. I couldn't understand why it kept flickering. Clearly it worked sometimes and not others, but given my lack of knowledge, i just assumed it meant time to get in new spotlights. However, Neil identified the actual issue and told me even if i bought new spotlights, the problem wouldn't go away...hence the transformers i mentioned in my review title. 1 month in and my existing spotlights are burning bright and strong! Thanks again to Neil for being honest, saving me the cost of replacing all my spotlights and for giving me the job i actually needed done and not the one i naively initially asked for.
