Last night the garage door wouldn't open or close although the motor did made a lot of noise. This morning I phoned Markham Garage Doors and they were at my house by 1:00PM to fix it. How awesome is that? To top it off, the guys were friendly, professional and did a great job at a fair price. Impressive!

We decided to replace the 2nd floor carpet with 3/4" oak so I checked Homestars to see which companies were top rated and asked the top 2 for quotes. Both companies supplied comparable quotes but, when I had questions about the quotes, Patricia at Floorwood absolutely blew away the competition! The other highly rated company was too busy to worry about answering my questions but Patricia always responded to my emails quickly and was extremely helpful. Given the amount of money being spent, I felt a lot more comfortable giving my business to Floorwood considering her high level of customer service. A nice thing I discovered about Floorwood is how they manage their business. In my experience, the guy that comes to your house is the same guy that handles all the inquiries so his phone is ringing non-stop while he's trying to focus on doing your work. At Floorwood, Patricia handles all the office issues so Robert and Darek are able to focus on doing your job w/o constant distractions. When it was time for the carpet removal and hardwood install, Robert and Darek were terrific. I was home that week so I got to witness first hand how hard they worked to get everything just right. They arrived on time every day and were really nice guys that you could tell took a lot of pride in their work. The end result is a beautiful floor that looks like it was there all along and made us ask ourselves why we didn't we do this a long time ago. Overall, Floorwood is a great run small business that cares about their quality of workmanship, keeps in constant communication with you every step of the way and does a great job. What more could you ask for? Needless to say, I highly recommend them!

After last year's stellar exterior paint job, my wife was bound to come up with another project for Manny. This time around, the guys painted over the oak wainscoting and repainted all the walls in the basement. It's tricky job to make the wainscoting look good when you're using brush and roller and they were up to the task. The basement looks huge now thanks to the lighter colors!

I had an issue with the lack of airflow to a bedroom over the garage so I call CCM. Peter and his co-worker really showed their dedication because this problem was hard to identify. Eventually, they figured out how to solve this problem and now everything is great. In addition, they discovered that our new furnace wasn't vented outside (laziness on the part of the installing company) and I had them fix that as well. Lastly, they also noticed that the new exhaust for the furnace was leaking (very dangerous) and fixed that as well. All in all, it was a very positive experience and I'll be calling them when I'm ready for the tankless water heater.

A+++++ I would not hesitate to recommend Manny and his team. They obviously care about the quality of their work and they are incredibly punctual. Most importantly, Manny is a great communicator who is always reachable.

In the spring of '08 I read the reviews on Heating Plus here on Homestars and decided to use them for a new furnace. They were easy to deal with and professionally installed the unit on time and with a minimum of mess. The unit has been working flawlessly since that day. Last week, we had Paul and his crew install a new air conditioner. Just like before, the installation was on time and handled professionally. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They are a small company and the nature of this business means that they can get incredibly busy at times but they've always come through for me.
