Bought a new Branthaven home in Kitchener in September 2013. Within 5 months there was a major leak in the home. Builder came out immediately and even as the water was pouring from the ceiling said that they couldnt find anything wrong and couldnt identify where the water was coming from. So they walked out and said that they will not repair any of the damage cause by the leak which included damaged hardwood and trim all around. STAY AWAY FROM BRANTHAVEN...... they will lure you with fancy upgrades buy after possession they dont stand behind their product.

Hi Naveed,
Here at Branthaven we take our craftsmanship very seriously, and if the damage was caused due to poor workmanship or from a defect in materials, we would happily repair the damage as long as you met the Tarion Warranty standards. Though you are within your warranty period, our inspectors concluded that the damage was not from workmanship or from a defect in materials. Most often, leaks resulting from failure of the building system components will not be isolated to a one-time occurrence, like what you are experiencing. Our President closely reviewed the report from our inspectors and he stands behind their report. As the email you were sent yesterday says, we will come repair the kickplate on the main bath vanity and the drywall our staff cut out as part of our investigation. Please respond to the email our Warranty Manager sent you so a time can be scheduled for one of our Service Technicians to come by. If the leak reoccurs, please do not hesitate to call our Warranty/Customer Service department at 905-333-9690 and they will re-investigate the issue.
Kind regards,
Jennifer
