After seeing the work of M.E. Contracting elsewhere, my partner and I decided that they would be the ones to complete an ambitious outdoor renovation to our home which we recently acquired. This was a project that grew in scope from the initial discussion, but every addition was for the right reason, and the end result is stunning.
The project began with a desire to replace a deteriorating fence and deck. We wanted a solid new pressure treated fence with 6x6 posts and horizontal slats. We wanted lighting and LED lights on the fence were installed, on a timer.
We replaced all of the previous landscaping, with thirty black cedar trees 8 feet tall. (Twenty were originally proposed, but we saw that more trees would look even better). An automated irrigation system was installed that would keep the trees happily watered.
We asked for a new deck design, larger than the previous deck and wanted some form of pergola. Eitan designed a stunning deck composed of PVC with tempered glass railings and aluminum posts along with a unique wrought iron pergola, painted black with frosted tempered glass. This was an engineering and installation marvel. It is bold, modern, and beautifully elegant.
During the early course of our renovations it was discovered coincidentally during our indoor renovations that our basement was subject to moisture and mold problems due to grading problems on one side of the house. We contracted with M.E. to complete an exterior remediation with waterproofing which was completed promptly and efficiently prior to the fence completion. The grading problem was corrected and new interlock stone was installed on one side of the house.
At the front of the house, we needed to replace the front steps which were deteriorating. Sal and his landscaping team installed beautiful flagstone which will now last for years. Eitan also designed upon request, a pergola for the front entrance, composed of similar materials to the rear pergola. A clear sloped tempered glass top was similarly installed. It looks gorgeous.
Additional front landscaping was also completed to complete the work.
M.E. Contracting uses highest quality crews. Sal was in charge of the landscaping project, the waterproofing, flagstone work, demolition work and was simply amazing to work with. This was a big, complicated project and he handled it all and professionally.

Brenda and Keren from the home office are a pleasure to work with. I thank them for helping make it easy. Eitan is wonderful with his design, planning and implementation. This big project was completed in reasonable time given its scope.
