I had a very pleasant moving experience with Augusta Movers. This was my first time using movers and didn't' quite know what to expect. Although my movers were a bit late, they called about 30 minutes before our agreed upon starting time to let me know that. They were very polite and efficient and handled everything with care. They even went above and beyond with handling my very stressed cats when I couldn't get them into their carriers. Just first class movers! The cost of the move was about $200 more than what I was estimated, but the move all in all took about 2 hours longer than anticipated due to a mix up in my new condo building. But considering all the horror stories out there about movers and the fact that everything was placed exactly where I wanted and not a dent or scratch anywhere, I'm more than happy with the service. Fantastic service. I called fairly last minute for boxes and was able to have them delivered the next day. The 1 bedroom bundle along with some wardrobe boxes were the right amount for my condo. The boxes were clean and easy to stack. The only thing is that I packed about 6 boxes before I realized that I was closing them incorrectly. .but that's okay. The pick up and drop off were easy, and when I unpacked a few days earlier than I expected, I even was able to have them pick up the boxes earlier than my scheduled day. All in all a great service and would recommend them again. My movers also appreciated the boxes, because they were so easy to stack. My only tip for the company is to perhaps supply plastic ties for the boxes as well. I ended up buying some from the dollar store but plastic ties secured the covers a bit more so I wasn't worried about them opening up unintentionally.
