We have used Durham Lawn Jockey for several years now. They are an experienced, family-owned, local company who really seem to know what they're talking about. They do not over-promise nor do they try to up-sell services like many of the large lawn maintenance franchisees do. When I have asked Craig about some of the additional services they provide, he has told me that we don't need them. We did not sign a contract - they only return the following year if you choose to renew with them. We have recommended them to family who now use them and are also very happy with them.

Had ducts and 4 bathroom exhaust fans cleaned. Two-man crew here for a solid 2 hours - very pleasant, obviously experienced and knowledgeable about the work, showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves and even helped to move heavy furniture back into place before leaving. Appreciated their savvy use of technology - we booked the appointment and paid the deposit online (after reading their reviews on HomeStars), received confirmation and were emailed a reminder a few days ahead, instructing us what to do before their arrival. There are no hidden charges - they are very open about the cost - everything is laid out on their website. Highly recommend this company - very professional and, as others have commented, appear to care about doing a good rather than a fast job (not our experience with duct cleaning companies we've used in past years). In short, they deserve the excellent rating and comments they get on this site.

We were left with about a dozen small holes after removing track lighting fixtures in 2 rooms with "popcorn" ceilings. Ricardo matched the colour and texture so perfectly that no one would know the holes ever existed. We purchased and assembled cabinets from Ikea to mount on the wall of a home office but because they were so heavy we weren't able to finish the job ourselves. Ricardo mounted the last (and highest!) cabinet for us and installed the hinges, doors and doorstops on all the cabinets (including the ones we'd mounted). Because we wanted the whole thing to look built-in, we also purchased a very narrow shelving unit to fill the gap between the side of the cabinets and the wall but it was not narrow enough to fit the space. Ricardo took it home so he could use his table saw, took it apart, narrowed every piece, put it back together and it fits perfectly. All of this work was completed in 1 day and for exactly the amount originally quoted. I would definitely use his company again and have already recommended him to others.
