We moved into our freehold townhouse in 2009. Later that summer we had some of the worst rain and our garage/basement flooded. Over the next 3 years it flooded twice more. Finally in 2015 we decided to completely gut the space and redo it to ensure that it was flood-resistant and liveable. In all, Clayton and his team level;ed the usable living space down there, moved walls around, added a 2-piece bathroom, installed heated floors, pot lights, a laundry nook, and laundry sink, and added spray insulation to the garage portion to keep the kitchen floor above warm. They did a fantastic job and we love the transformation of this space. We waited 2 winters to write this review because we wanted to see how the work held up through rain and winter. The space is a dream and the floors are warm. The upstairs holds the heat better now that there is insulation and having a working laundry area has made our lives easier. These guys are definitely our go to from now on. We are about to embark on a Master Bedroom reno and will be contacting them shortly. After that, we will do the Kitchen. We had a kitchen with an old range hood that no longer did the job. We had bought an OTR Microwave months prior but had yet to have it in stalled. In the process they altered the existing cabinets and added an extension of an additionl upper cabinet and matched the style and colour perfectly. Our kitchen now looks like it should and complete. Thank you so much! We are preparing for a total basement reno in the Spring and the first company I will contact for ideas and guidance is Span Co.

In July 2009 we had a company come and remove squirrels from our attic. They didn't tell us there was a hole left on our roof after the removal, so at the end of January 2010 we noticed some water leaking and some water damage on the paint in our bedrrom. We went up on the roof and discovered that they had left an open hole on our roof since July without telling us. It had been raining so much that we now had water leaking into our house. In a panic I came on Homestars and found MrRoofRepair and put in a request online to have them fix two leaks. While we were on the roof we noticed there was no flashing from the roof to the gutter and there was a gap where water was entering the soffits. This is why our window frame had been leaking as well. They were able to come in a few days and fix the two problems. They also checked out our roof and gave us a quote when the time came for us to install flashings along the entire roof (they fixed where the leak was but there was no flashing along all edges of the roof). We can't do the extra job right now, but when the time comes we will definitely call MrRoof Repari to come and complete the work. They made it easy for us, as they came while we were at work and provided us with an explanation of what needed to be done and pictures to show the results. Thanks!

On Sunday our main water valve inside the house started leaking. So we turned it off and called Express Roooter. We looked on Homestars and decided to call after we called other companies that wouldn't perform the repair because the City had to be involved to turn off the water to the house. Vlad was sent from Express Rooter the next day, and he assessed the situation and explained what had to be done. He told us the cost and then gave me the number to call for the city to shut off the water. He completed the job in less than one hour. The longest part of the whole affair was waiting for the city to come back and turn on the water so he could test the new valve. Everything was cleaned up and Vlad was on his way. We had a new valve and we could use our water in the house again. Thanks so much Vlad. You will be the first we call if we have another problem.
