Peter is awesome. He is punctual and courteous, highly efficient, really knows his stuff. I had an all round excellent experience with Peter and can recommend him without reservation. Above all his honesty shines through, and I would absolutely trust him with any repair. He is also great at managing communications - returning calls and texts promptly, and giving valuable advice over the phone, and being able to send pictures of my fridge model label to him made the ordering of the replacement part faster. He also offers very convenient payment via Visa card using Square on his phone - not something other repair people are up with. His cost was must more reasonable than I was expecting - he actually sourced a less expensive part and I really appreciated that because I'm a senior.

I trusted Gable Roofing because they had such a high rating on Home Stars. They came and did something to my flat roof/chimney, but it did not stop the persistent leak into my basement every time it rained. They came back and squeezed some foam into cracks in the chimney, and until now that stopped the leakes - but it seemed a very unprofessional approach. Now, the rain is pouring down, and it's once again coming down the chimney and into my basement. Can anyone give me a recommendation for an HONEST and COMPETENT roofer before I shoot myself?

My humidifer was down due to negligence on my part. And my furnace was also past due for a check-up, so based on HomeStars recommendations I called Renato. As I expected from his high rating on HomeStars, he was swamped with work, and couldn't book an appointment for at least 2 weeks - but he kept me in mind and then called me to say he had other work in my area - on SUNDAY! - and could get my job done too. He could have stuck to the original "2 weeks later" agreement - so I felt that this Sunday service was amazing customer service right there. I really appreciated his ability to communicate - he called that he was running late, and he turned up at exactly the agreed later time. (Remember, this was Sunday, which was above and beyond to begin with.) He always aims to repair rather than replace. He shows and explains any parts you may need replaced. He is fast at getting the work done, very efficient and clean. Technically, he knows what he's doing and it shows. His costs are very reasonable. So glad I found him through HomeStars - I've suffered a long streak of bad luck with incompetent and some dishonest furnace/AC people - Renato is a breath of fresh air! I highly recommend him. 10 is not high enough for him!
