Sanding and staining of existing hardwood floors
I learned about Craftwood flooring from the floorrefinishing.ca website. In mid July 2011, Scott visited my home to give me an estimate/proposal of the cost for sanding and staining my strip oak hardwood floors for three bedrooms and a parkay floor in the family/living room of my home. The bedroom floors are original 1950 floors, but the parkay is from the 80's. His estimate/proposal for the work was very competitive and the reviews on this site were mostly positive, so I decided to take a chance and award the job to him. In August, on the scheduled date, a three member crew arrived and spent the first full day sanding, the second day they applied the color and the first coat of urethane and on the third consecutive day, the second coat of urethane. I was very impressed with the work ethic of the crew. They were on task and displayed close attention to detail. I was particularly impressed with the shopvac used to pick up debris and dust. It was worn on the back of one of the crew members. I'm very happy with the look of the floors. My wife and I chose English Chestnut as the stain color and a satin finish. The satin finish really brings out the intricacies of the wood and the overall look is stunning. Thanks Scott for bringing our floors back to life. I have no reservations about referring this company to anyone looking to have their floors sanded and stained.
