We live in a backsplit and recently had a yellowjacket problem. The wasps were entering through damaged flashing on the second story roof. We also had a bad bow in the soffit. The company that solved the wasp problem strongly suggested that we repair the damaged flashing as well as the bow in the soffit. Doing a search on HomeStars we decided to contact MCBM Roofing. I spoke with Marcelo on the phone and arranged for a meeting that same day to get a quote on doing the work. Marcelo arrived, and after using an extension ladder to reach the soffit, we agreed on a price and he quickly removed the bow in the soffit, screwed the flashing back into place not only where the yellowjackets had been entering, but in several other locations as well, and caulked the flashing opening so the yellowjackets could no longer enter. Throughout Marcelo was polite, professional and personable.

I had yellowjackets in the soffit of our home and I wanted them removed. I spoke originally with Antonio on the phone where he outlined the various scenarios and the approximate costs. WE arranged for a date and time and he arrived punctually and was quickly able to confirm that the yellowjackets had not entered the attic but were confined to the space just above the soffit. Within 30 minutes he had applied the treatment and the yellowjacket problem was solved. I was really impressed by the fact that he called me the next day to confirm that I was satisfied with his service. and to remind me that if the yellowjacket problem reoccurred within 6 months to call him as his treatment had a six-month warranty.

We had 4 old cedar trees in our backyard about 20 feet (6m) high that were long past their prime, a birch tree with multiple dead branches and a shrub that had outgrown its boundaries. Mike was the first of the HomeStars references to arrive. Friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We felt very comfortable with him and his quote but, in fairness, we said that we wanted to hear what the other companies that were referenced had to quote. He understood. One other company came in person to quote. Another company asked for a photo and quoted based on the photo. Both quoted more for less (i.e. no shrub trimming or birch tree pruning) We hired Forestwood and we're more than pleased that we did! Mike and his friendly crew (which includes an arborist) arrived on time and did everything they quoted they would do very quickly and made sure that we were satisfied with their work - including the cleanliness. They even cut the birch tree limbs into fire-place size pieces and trimmed additional limbs at no additional cost. As per the title of this revue, if you are looking for someone for this type of project - look no further.

Brian arrived ahead of schedule and quickly and professionally replaced the screen on our over-sized patio door. He noted the wear on the wheels and replaced and lubricated these as well.
