-Two foot wide wet spots would form on our ceiling and water would dump out of our fan vent when we ran either bathroom fan upstairs. 3 out of the 4 Sabal neighbours had the same issue. An outside company found the problems because Sabal said there was no issue- both fans needed to be rerouted in the attic, new vents in the roof needed to be cut out, the attic insulation completely redone, the insulation stops replaced, and the bathroom ceilings repaired. -In-floor heating had to be redone 4 times in our ensuite, each time with us having to take several back-to-back days off of work. #1- forgot to install heat mat altogether, #2- heat mat only installed under 1/3 of the floor, #3- wires were put too close together under the floor causing a fire hazard, and #4- after the mat having to be ordered twice and the installer not showing up on the installation day, it was finally installed correctly! -Our house was not built to match the plans that we signed off on and sits four feet higher on the lot than it should. -All outdoor trim was installed against manufacturer specs, and after MUCH documentation being sent to Sabal, it was all ripped off and redone. The final repairs and painting were not completed until 3 years after we moved in. -On several occasions, we took full days off work to meet with subcontractors and they never showed up or returned our phone calls. -Driveway was poured in freezing cold weather and 24 hours before it snowed. It cracked shortly after. -Microwave was installed so high that I (being only 5’ tall) could barely reach the bottom of it. -Parging looked awful and hundreds of dried parging spots were left all over our newly laid sod. -There were countless other issues. They do not oversee their subcontractors and there seems to be no communication between the customer service and construction sides of the company. We would NEVER build with them again.
