If there is one word to describe Emery, it would be meticulous. The kitchen and bathroom renovation he did for us is quality work. He completes most of the carpentry work himself, and the amount of care and detail he puts into his work is impressive. For example, he had to replace a window in our kitchen with a smaller one and the exterior of the house looks seamless. It looks like the window has always been there. His designs never cut corners to finish the job more quickly or to save money, as other contractors we interviewed were recommending. Everything was left clean and neat, even the extra tiles he put away in our shed. Communicating with Emery is easy. He was always polite, punctual, and clearly laid out the work he was going to do and the anticipated timelines. I appreciated how he gave us drawings even for simple designs, rather than just verbally describing things. He worked well within our budget and was able to recommend quality materials within that budget. On his last day there, there was heavy rainfall and our roof started to leak. Even though it wasn't part of the job, Emery went on to the roof in the rain and rejigged our gutters to prevent further damage. Just goes to show the extra mile Emery will go for his clients. I would highly recommend him.
