We used Repair Care when our oven failed to heat beyond low temperature during the Christmas holiday week. They responded promptly to my online inquiry and sent a repair man to the house the same day. ( Dec 30th) He quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem ( baking element not functioning ) , confirmed that the Kitchenaid warehouse had the required part in stock, and ordered it for delivery ( estimated to be 3 to 5 days) . The repairman was back to install the new element early Saturday morning, the 5th. Service was prompt and efficient, and prices were as negotiated during initial phonecall . I would definitely use RepairCare services again .

We hired Grand Valley to remove our old asphalt driveway ( about 120 feet in length ), regrade and level the underlying soil, and lay a new permeable interlock driveway, including a retaining wall along one side of our lawn . The job was finished to our complete satisfaction on time ( within two days) and within budget, and they left our premises in neat and tidy condition. Tony and his crew worked from our preliminary drawings , and took a great deal of trouble over the attractive layout of the decorative border we had requested . They were also very accommodating and courteous in dealing with our immediate neighbour's concerns over rainwater run-off . The final result looks wonderful , and we have had several passersby stop to compliment us , and ask us which firm we used . I would have no hesitation using Grand Valley again, or recommending them to others.

Carter Painting recently completed a full exterior painting of our older midtown home, including the first time priming and painting of all exterior brick . The painting crew, Eric and Jack, did a very neat professional job, and were accommodating of access by other tradespeople and various weather related delays throughout. The job was finished on time and within budget. Preparation for painting was thorough, and they identified and addressed a number of minor repair issues ( e.g missing/ broken trim, etc) before beginning painting . Neil Carter and his staff were a pleasure to deal with throughout the process, from initial estimate to completion of the work to payment.

We were referred to Neil Carter by a decorator, Elizabeth Metcalfe, who had worked frequently with Carter Painting and recommended them highly. They painted our master bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen, including trim, doors and ceiling, in August 2008 and did a wonderful job. The paintwork was immaculate, and the work was done promptly on the date scheduled for the price agreed with our decorator. They also cleaned up after completing the work. I would happily hire Carter Painting again in future for interior or exterior painting.
