Pot lights, soffit lights, miscellaneous electical work
This review is long overdue. We had pot lights, soffit lights, and other electrical work done in our new home by Alex and his team a while ago. Their prices were competitive and we were happy with the overall job. They cleaned up after themselves and worked hard to finish everything in 1 day. Glad he was able to fit us into his very busy schedule!
Install kitchen cabinet crown mouldings
We recently had pre-finished kitchen cabinet crown mouldings installed. Mike & Venecia were great to work with from start to finish. Their prices were competitive and they provided quality workmanship. We particularly appreciated how they regularly communicated with us re: estimates and installation dates. They took their time to make sure the job was done right and also cleaned up afterwards. We look forward to hiring them again to install crowns for the rest of our house!

Quartz Countertops - Kitchen & Bathrooms
We had high expectations for this company from the start since Jorge was great to work with. He was patient and the price he quoted was competitive. Unfortunately, we weren't pleased with the installation. Maurcio and another worker came to install the quartz countertops and we found the workmanship to be substandard. Since the area for the kitchen coutertop was too big for 1 entire piece, we knew there would be a seam. However, the seam was not smoothed and levelled out so dirt gets in the middle of the 2 pieces. Also, the grout/sealer around the edges of the countertops were applied messily. The dust from the plywood is stuck in the sealer and there was so much residue from the sealer that months after the install, we were still scraping it off. IIn fact, we will need to strip and re-apply sealer ourselves so that it will look cleaner and more professional. In addition, we were also dissatisfied with the mess that was left behind. Maurcio had cut the pieces in our garage and there was so much debris which was not swept or placed in the garbage/removed offsite. He and the other installer also left behind their garbage from lunch (take out drinks still half full) for us to clean up afterwards. Considering the positive reviews, we were really hoping for the finished product to look professional, sadly this was not the case. Hopefully, this was a one off situation! Customer Response: Homestars asked us to provide a copy of the invoice to prove we hired this company. The reason why this review is still up is because it is a valid review and not a false one. At the time our countertops were installed, the installer was Marcio/Mauricio. If he no longer works for this company, then maybe the company is listening to customer's complaints and let him go due to poor workmanship. Although he may not work for the company anymore, our comments are still valid. We made an error in writing grout/sealer when it should be silicone. Regardless, whatever material was applied was done so messily that we were unsatisfied with the overall work, thus the low rating. I'm surprised that this company isn't taking our comments and using it as constructive criticism to help better themselves. Instead they are claiming the review to be false when it is not!

This review is way overdue. I had window shutters installed in my whole house (located in Ajax) last summer and was extremely pleased with the overall work and customer service provided by Alex & his brother. Not only was I happy with the installation, but the price was competitive too. I had received a few other quotes which were all exactly the same, but Amazing was able to beat those quotes without having to haggle. I wanted the shutters installed quickly. When I called to place the order for the shutters I told them I was concerned about receiving the product in time, so Alex came over within a couple of hours of the call to take measurements and make sure the order was placed immediately. The day of the install, I needed the shutters installed by a certain time. Alex and his brother came, installed, and cleaned up after themselves within the time slot I requested. They accomodated my scheduled and ensured everything was completed on time! They were easy to work with and I'm happy with the overall installation and have already recommended them to family & friends!
This review is way overdue, but I want to take the time to say that we did not forget the excellent work and customer service that Frontier Flooring provided. We live in Ajax and had hardwood installed in the summer of 2010 and almost a year later, we are still impressed with the workmanship (Derek & his son were our installers). They were always prompt and cleaned up after themselves. Afterwards, there were a few scratches and dents which I called Angelo about and he had no problems sending someone to replace and fix those pieces (Jack did our repairs). Angelo & Jack advised us that due to climate, the hardwood will continue to shrink and expand and we may find other pieces need replacing, but not to worry and just to give them a call and they'll come back to make repairs. Their price was very competitive, the job was very well done, and the post-sale service was even better! We highly recommend them :)
