Monarch - New Home Construction in Burlington
When we decided it was time to move out of our townhouse we thought a move to a Monarch home would probably be our last. After all they have a great reputation and they seem to pay attention to the details. Unfortunately this was not the case at all with our home. Communication during the building of our home was good. Once we took possesion, it became non-existent and the company doesn't even care. They have your money and they'll get to you whenever they are good and ready. After numerous phone calls and e-mails to managers & supervisors our concerns still have yet to be addressed. Items on our PDI and 30 day list are still not completed 6 months later. We have had to take numerous days off to get these problems fixed. Many trades people would come to fix the problem but end up doing it incorrectly resulting in yet another appointment having to be made at a later date. The location & layout of the home is fabulous but the interior details are sloppy and poorly constructed. In 6 months of us living there, we've had to have a sliding glass door replaced, a window replaced, nails pulled out of our hardwood staircase, areas of our hardwood replaced and the list goes on. We paid a lot of money to upgrade features in our home and to see them destroyed by trades people is heartbreaking. This seems to be the norm within the subdivision. Many neighbors are not happy. I would not recommend buying a Monarch home unless you're looking for an expensive brand new fixer-upper.
