Current rate: $105 per hour for 2 movers. I have used the services of Gold Star Movers five times over the past 5 years. In June 2018, I used them to unload a U-Haul truck filled with my daughter's belongings into our Toronto house when she returned home from attending university in the U.S. A few months later I hired Gold Star again to load her stuff into a U-Haul, doing a great job of loading, and unloaded into her 2nd floor walk-up apartment later the same day. Last week our daughter was moving out of her Toronto apartment and when we booked the U-Haul a few weeks earlier I was thrilled to see that Gold Star was still on the U-Haul "Moving Help" list. I did not hesitate to book them again to load her Toronto apartment contents, which would include more furniture and fragile items than the previous moves. When I could not find a local company to unload in Guelph, her destination, I inquired with Gold Star as to whether they might be able to handle that job, as well, and they did not hesitate to help us out. Gold Star's crew on the move out, Roberto and Ivo, did a fabulous job of loading the 15' truck on a Thursday afternoon, using every useable inch of space, in almost no time at all. The next morning in Guelph, Ivo arrived with Kristiyan before the designated time of 8:30 am, and unloaded beautifully. We were able to return the U-Haul to its Guelph drop-off location well before its 24-hour rental limit. In all these moves loading and unloading U-Haul trucks, nothing has ever been broken by the Gold Star crews and service has always been exemplary. The crew members have been extremely polite and eager to please and have never griped about excessive numbers of stairs within apartment buildings and inside units. I would not hesitate to use Gold Star Movers again and to highly recommend their services.
