I went to Caplan's to buy double wall ovens. After choosing one I was concerned that it might not fit in the space I have. I gave the salesperson the exact measurements of the space and pointed out that the ovens I was interested in were larger than that space. She assured me, several times, that their installer would be able to make my new ovens fit. The ovens came and didn't fit. On top of that, the installation crew surprised me with a $450.00 installation bill that I'd never been told off. I have tried reaching out to the President of Caplan's twice about the ovens that don't fit and have explained that I have to open the cupboard drawer beneath the ovens at least 8-inches when cooking because the ovens vent directly into the drawer (making the drawer handle and the metal items in the drawer too hot to touch) and the response from Caplan's regarding this issue? Zilch. Even though their salesperson assured me that the ovens would fit and that if they didn't Caplan's would take the ovens away and refund me my money, I have spent thousands of dollars for ovens that are a fire hazard. (I had to remove the drawer and contents completely when running a self clean cycle when I saw a plastic item in the drawer melting and the wood smoking.)
