We got Bill and his team to waterproof around our house and put in a couple of window wells. That led to a full backyard reno that gave us beautiful interlock and wood decks that we can't wait to use next year. While they were here, they even helped me to get rid of a large inoperative wine fridge that we inherited when we bought the house and retrofit another couple of cabinets into the kitchen. Bill Fairney and his team are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, very communicative, highly responsive, and do excellent work. They gave me options, had great problem-solving ideas, and consulted me regularly to make sure everything was the way I wanted it. They treated my property with respect and always cleaned up after they were done for the day. I've come to trust Bill and Peter and have already recommended them to friends.

I was concerned about the air quality in my little son's room as I noticed that ever since we moved to this house, every time I went into his room to read him bedtime stories, my allergies seemed to act up. I finally decided to call The Mold Guy, based on these HomeStars recommendations, and now I don't know why I didn't call him earlier. I was able to make an appointment within a week. Ross came out and not only completed the 3 tests efficiently (control, basement, and the room I was concerned about), he basically walked around and checked the whole house, giving me tips (eg not having cardboard boxes in a very unfinished room of the basement, checking for dust on the ductless AC units on the third floor that could inhibit air circulation, etc.) I received a full report incl lab results within 3 days. It was a relief to know my son's room was safe after all. Definitely recommend Ross and his expertise!

I've used White Shark for many years now for regular eavestrough cleaning. It's easy to set up and pay for on their "client dashboard". They are responsive, tidy, and organized. You come home to find full leaf bags and a notification that they've done the work and all is well. This summer, I also used their painting service to do some exterior painting. The two young men who came to do the work were friendly, respectful of our property, and worked all day to scrape off the paint that was peeling off, repaint it, and clean up after themselves. They did an excellent job.

We first hired Doug last year when our drains blew because most of my neighbours on my street had hired him at one time or another and recommended him highly. He was totally honest and said we needed a drain company, set us up with a very good one, and didn't charge us for coming out. We called him up again this week with toilet flushing issues and again, he was totally reliable, came when he said he would, gave us a call about half an hour before he arrived, and fixed the problems. He didn't replace anything more than he really had to, and cleaned up so we didn't even know he'd been there. Would recommend him in a heartbeat.

We hired Jason to look at our first house in 2007 on the recommendation of a very exacting friend. Jason & his team removed the knob & tube, basically rewired the house, and did it professionally, courteously, & at a totally reasonable price (which we really appreciated as young, first time homeowners suddenly needing to do urgent renos right after paying for a house!) Over the years since then, we've hired Jason every time we needed electrical work & he has ALWAYS been wonderful. Most recently, in our current house, we called him out when we lost power during the ice storm of 2013 and when he found out I was very pregnant with no heating, he rejigged his workers' schedules to make sure someone could drop by as soon as possible to at least get us some heat. A couple of days later when he could free up a full team, he came to replace our entire electrical box (we had planned to do that anyhow) and the ESA inspector who came later specifically commented on the quality of the workmanship. He said it was treat to see all the boxes and exterier cables so nicely and professionally installed. I routinely recommend him to people all the time & my friends have all had good things to say about him too.
