New Maytag range from Leaside Home Depot for my Mum who lives in a seniors condo. After 10 months the oven dangerously overheats to the max setting every time you turn oven on. Product under manufacturer's warranty. Commonwealth are authorized service providers in the GTA. So far: 4 technician visits and 3 parts in 1.5months by Commonwealth and oven still not working. Each part takes 1-2 weeks from Commonwealth and calls to Maytag/Whirlpool = 45-60min wait time. Tech shows up today with the wrong part again! Reordered 4th part for next week. Maytag wont replace whole range "unless there is extenuating circumstances". I guess this isn't "extenuating" enough. 6 months ago it was the brand new Maytag dishwasher, same ordeal. Will never buy Maytag/Whirlpool products nor again.

Technician arrived on time and gave his estimate on the parts and labour. He replaced the heating element on our dryer quickly and tested it. Overall cost was around $480. Technician was a great guy, really nice and knowledgeable. Only problem was the call dispatcher. She didn't seem to have a clue about what hourly labour charge was or how the billing process worked. Was not impressed by her.
