John got the job done efficiently (quickly and with no mess) and gave us helpful maintenance advice. We paid what he quoted. Would definitely recommend him to friends and family.

We wanted to finish the basement in our 2-year-old home and went through weeks of online research and request for quotes. When we met Dave, we knew Penguin Basements was different. He took the time (two hours!) to answer our many questions and draft a design. And when he explained that Penguin only uses mould resistant building materials even though they are more expensive, we knew we found the right company -- a company who won't compromise on quality to become more competitive. Juliano, who was the project manager, was no less professional. Yes, there were unexpected delays, but they were transparent about the whole thing and apologetic to the end. The last thing we wanted was shoddy workmanship just to have the basement finished in 3-4 weeks. In the end, we got the basement we were promised, at a reasonable price.
