I was recommended by family to consider Gandy for my home central AC and HW Boiler replacement. Gandy provided to me, what I thought were reasonable quotes for both systems. A Lennox central AC, and a Navien on-demand HW system. Both systems were pricey, and some would consider them on the higher end. The installations was done very professionally and efficiently. Very happy with the attentive care and service provided. There were a few 'hiccups' during some work done at my residence, but Gandy's stepped up, and resolved them quickly, to my satisfaction, and with a 'smile'. For ongoing maintenance, I opted to go with Gandy's comfort program. You pay a monthly maintenance fee, but get annual maintenance service included, 15% discount on parts, and front of the line service. I find this is worth the investment, as unexpected repairs can get costly. The only counter points I would make of Gandys are: responses from queries on occasion have taken in my opinion too long, and their rates for product and services are pricey. Overall, I am very happy with my decision to go with Gandys, and do highly recommend them if they fit within your budget.

During my initial home build (1998), based on my recommendations from a friend, I chose to go with Pebo Stone for Kitchen Granite counter tops. The quote was reasonable at the time, but the outcome was disappointment. Two piece counter tops with small elbow. Should be basically two single pieces with no joins. One piece came 'off colour' and was replaced after I complained it was not what I selected. I think I received a 'scrap' piece. The major disappointment was Pebo decided to provide the 2nd piece with a join in the middle of the sink area. What were they thinking???? I did not notice this after the install, but soon realized when the join in the sink area started to slip. (photo attached) As time went on, the join slip got worst, to a point where water was leaking from the counter to the under cabinet. I contacted Pebo for a remedy/repair. They were more than 'happy to help', BUT, at a cost more than if I was to replace the counter top at current market prices. So no help at all. I am currently doing a reno for the kitchen, and working with another countertop vendor, I am learning the mistakes I made with Pebo, and how they should have never put a join where they did. Again, I believe Pebo approached my job with the intention to use 'scrap' material to make the countertops for me for bigger profit, and not for a single source 'slab'. Can I say, 'bait and switch'?. Even it they had to do a 'join' why not tell me, or, not put it where it will be prone to fail? I am writing this review only provide others to be aware, and also confirm what they want is what they will get. Vendor deceptive practices may not be apparent until it is too late.

Contacted TMC to get the details on their $9.99 alarm deal. They promised timely/professional onsite service. They came, got me to sign the contract, and said they will finish up the work at a later date because they were not prepared to do the work. Subsequent appointments cancelled last minute due to very lame reasons. No staff even though the appointment was confirmed. No ladder to do work. Part was not available. They even had the nerve to tell me they re-evaluted the work and it would cost me another $800. TMC told their staff to walk away from the work if they did not get the additional funds. Called their monitoring center to speak to someone in charge. What a surprise, no one with authority was available. They don't even reply to voice mail. Now I am trying to get this one year contract cancelled.
