Main floor renovation with Kitchen, Bathroom, Living/Dining room and Office
We engaged Barry and Artiste renovations for a main floor renovation of our circa 1962 Edmonton bungalow. We opened up the main floor living space by removing a bearing wall between the living room and kitchen space, as well as a non-bearing wall between the dining room and basement stairs. We added a window to the back wall for more light. We took most of the main foor down to the studs, re-insulating and re-drywalling. The floor was pulled down to the shiplap, and we started over with new hardwood flooring from touchwood flooring. We gutted the main floor bathroom and re-did it completely, as well as replacing all the main floor trim and doors. We did a completely new kitchen with a new island and plumbing and electrical in the island, as well as new exterior doors. we finished down the basement stairs to the existing family room and installed decorative railing around the basement stairwell. Short answer, we're still incredibly happy with everything. Longer story - we started in about april, We had a july timeframe for when the job would be finished. We lived in our garage, one remaining bedroom in the house, and the basement bathroom during the reno - Barry, Rene, Hans, and James were fantastic the whole time. Always cleaning up at the end of the day, always communicative about progress and any setbacks or challenges. Like any job of this size "things" always happen, and they were always dealt with professionally, and in a timely manner by the crew. We added an "extra" room to the job at the end, and this and a couple delivery delays extended the final completion to August. I can't say enough nice things about the work we had done. I'm very very happy with the result, and can (and do) reccomend Barry and Artiste to anyone who asks.

Thanks Bob for the kind words. It was a pleasure doing this project for you and Chenelle. Great clients to work with. Very organized and when we needed a question answered or something chosen you were always very timely in your response. I am so happy you are enjoying your "new" space. All the best to you and yours in 2017!
