Very expensive and oversell needed repairs
We first used this company for an emergency toilet repair. They came the next day, fixed the blockage quickly and the bill was less than $150. They tried really hard to convince us to pay to have the drains scoped but since they had been done a few years ago and the City had just replaced their line we declined. About one year later when we had a leak somewhere in the basement (we thought the washer) we called them again. $289 just for the visit. The plumber couldn't find the problem in the washer and again suggested scoping, for a fee that might rise up to $700. He changed the intake hoses but that didn't fix the problem. He went through the whole house filling up every sink, checking out the dishwasher, all the toilets and now we had a list of needed major repairs that he quoted at from $1,500-3,000. One toilet he said needed replacing (turns out it needed one part). We thanked him and sent him on his way. The main problem was the washing machine which another company fixed. Our drains are fine and the other "major repairs" resulted in some small parts, all for under $300. So Drainworks is polite, they do come when promised but we left with the experience of being gouged. we have a great individual plumber now.

**Careful Shopper** Thank you for your feedback. As we don’t repair appliances, our visit would have been to investigate your homes plumbing at an agreed upon price as a process of elimination, and report to you our findings. If our recommendations did not suit your needs, that’s fine, but it does not mean they were inaccurate. There are many different levels of service out there and the pricing for our services is in line with industry standards, however; the prices you list in your review do not add up to what we charge. For example, upwards of $700 for a scoping isn’t even remotely close to our charges. Please feel free to call our office for any clarification.
