A+++ Detailed review of Albany Roofing Ltd: A year ago I noticed the shingles on my roof were getting old but I didn't think it was necessary to have them replaced so I waited until 2017 to begin searching for a roofer. As a cautious person that I am, I spent over a month researching 20+ different roofing companies in Calgary to find a company that I can fully trust with my roof. As you might have guessed, Albany Roofing Ltd was the company I chose. Prior to choosing their company, I decided to study a bit about roofing to know what qualifies a good roofer. Then, I contacted one company after the other to get multiple estimates and check what different companies do for the money they're paid. Well, the vast majority of the roofing companies failed in either one or more crucial aspects about a correct roofing job such as using underlayment, new valleys, and re-flashing (all technical terms in the roofing industry). I asked dozens of questions and Albany Roofing always replied very quickly with successful answers. So I called Marina and John at Albany Roofing and they arrived at my house to provide me with a free estimate that outlined everything they do along with a promise to get the job done in only 2 days with their four-person crew, a 10 year workmanship warranty, and a 40 year manufacturer warranty. Most roofing companies provide only 1-5 years warranty, so a 10 year warranty is clearly a sign that Albany Roofing knows their job is high quality and will last a long time! I signed the contract and their crew started working the very next morning. As it turns out, my old shingles were placed on the roof without any underlayment 20 years ago and since I didn't get my roof done a year prior, there were a couple small leaks in my roof. Without my knowledge, John had the leaking boards replaced with new ones - all at no extra cost! And, rather than covering only the sides and edges of my roof with underlayment like most companies do, John had my entire roof covered with premium underlayment - a huge improvement to my roof! With their crew working 12 hours a day, Albany Roofing finished the job right on time! I've read many stories where roofers finished and left all the garbage for the owners to clean up, but these guys cleaned up so well that even Sherlock Holmes wouldn't know they were there! They picked up all the small & large pieces of garbage by hand, used a leaf blower to clean debris, and a magnetic sweeper to collect scrap metal and nails around my house. They left my roof and the area surrounding my house clean and beautiful.
