Mohammad K. was efficient, courteous and diagnosed the problem in less than 1 minute. 12 y.o. fridge req'd 2 new mother boards. Job done in less than 2 hrs - he had the parts in his truck. I appreciated the professionalism - He gave me the confidence that he understood the issue and how to fix it. So far so good (3 hrs ago).

I recommend this contractor. They did a great job! My project was a complete reconstruction of my roof deck. The work consisted of new replacement decking, privacy walls, new supporting deck framework, new lighting, and an all-new pergola. I am very happy with the result because it not only looks fantastic but it has allowed me to use this 220 sf private outdoor space for entertaining, relaxing, dining and grilling. My visitors unanimously agree it is an amazing enhancement to my home and some have even asked for the contractor’s contact info for jobs of their own (which I happily provided). The contractors (the team of Cody & James) are wonderful to work with. They are just really personable and caring guys. They also have ready access to high quality trades such as carpentry, plumbing and electrical. My project was extra challenging due to the deck being up 4 stories with only internal stair access. I appreciated that they took the time to ensure the project was thoughtfully planned at each stage, gave me an opportunity for feedback, and happily accommodated adjustments during the work. They kept me up-to-date on progress including changes to day-to-day scheduling to help me plan my time around the work. They also did not hesitate to propose changes on their own, which was most appreciated. They maintained contact post-completion for follow-up adjustments and small fixes. I am impressed they are contacting me without prompting - I do not have to chase them. I plan to use this contractor again for Phase II of the project which will be a new kitchenette to service the new roof deck. If there was one thing that I’d suggest be done differently it is the project cost estimate which was provided as only a single total amount. I would like to see more detail in the breakdown of estimated costs such as labour and materials, contingencies, and a cost breakdown of the major deliverable components e.g. decking, pergola, electrical, staining. Not a deal breaker per se, but such a breakdown would be helpful to provide insight into the job and my budget at the outset, and for the impact of scope changes during the work. All in all, super job. I am very happy!

The pergola design was borrowed from a single internet photo and modified to suit my space. I am very happy with the end result. It is a solid piece of work, the proportions are exquisite and in my opinion, worthy of inclusion in a design magazine. The job progressed surprisingly quickly and efficiently. Josh seemed to effortlessly handle large lumber pieces on his own, even in the sometimes very hot and uncomfortable July working conditions. The main structure was competed in about a week. As the project progressed, we discussed and implemented several design improvements and Josh was very receptive and happily accommodated the changes. We worked together; Josh was not shy about bringing forward good suggestions in an effort to deliver a high quality product. Build-it Solutions is a pleasure to work with.
