I cannot believe the grief we went through just trying to pick up chairs we had ordered online. The chairs are fantastic (which is why I'm giving at least a 1 out of 5) but the lady at the cash and the other employees were absolute garbage. I have never left a store feeling more disrespected and upset. No one greeted us when we walked in and they acted like they both had something better to do. When we walked up to the cash to pay for the item, again the lady was just searching through her computer and didn't acknowledge us until we finally said hello. We were greeted with an icy stare and all she asked was did you receive a text? Being our first time in the store, we weren't sure what she was asking so we said no and tried to explain that our order had been put on hold but we were rudely cut off with, "Then your order isn't ready." She went back to browsing the computer and then we tried again - we put the order on hold with...we were cut off again with "If you didn't receive a text, your order is not ready." Honestly, if we didn't need these chairs I would have walked away right at that point but we calmly tried again, explaining they had been put on hold for us. She finally asked for the name and phone number and then walked into the back to get the package. There was no smiling, no apology for misunderstanding us, and no customer service whatsoever. She took our payment and then told us she couldn't lift the box into our car. When my 60 year old mother asked the simple question if there was someone in the back that could help us carry the heavy box, she sighed and pointed to a sign that read that no one was available to help us. We got the box in the car ourselves and of course there was no "Thank you for your business" or "Have a Nice Day"...just back to scrolling on the computer. Next time...I'll go to another store.
