Roofing - insulate attic - professional advice
Academia Roofing, put a new roof on for us about 5 years ago, and I'm writing now (2011) to say that they did a great job. It still looks brand new, and we are enjoying the extra warmth in the winter, and coolness in the summer provided by the insulation Gordon Bailey recommended. At the time, we asked for several quotes, but, of course, being novices in the field of roofing, we did not know the right questions to ask, though several things had been bothering us for a while. When Gordon came around, we didn't have to ask. He noticed that the roof needed more vents, that the attic needed additional insulation, that the spot where the raccoons got in a few years ago needed attention. He even put in a new bathroom fan for us - vented properly to the outside. Being extremely knowledgeable in his field, he managed to name all the things that were bothering us, and to fix them! His workers were polite, friendly, hardworking and did an excellent job cleaning up and protecting the garden. We're very happy with the job Academia did.
