This the second time I hired Garrett. The first time then did good job on hardwood floor and tile removal. During the demo, we find there are another plywood under the hardwood floor and second layer of the tiles. I paid extra $300 to deal with the plywood and second layer of the tile. And they left all the nails and 1 pc plywood because they DO NOT HAVE THE TOOL. The plywood is being left is because it under the bathroom glass wall and they do not have the jigsaw to deal with it which I can understand that. And after the tile removal. He told me the thin set is not included. Which is okay. I did not even know the thin set is not included in tile removal before. The second time. He came to demo the bathroom and I said specifically I need all tiles and thin set removed. He give me a quote and I agree with it, when he was arrived last morning he said he need extra $50 for disposal the garbage in my condo, just one bag and that is my living garbage that i can disposal myself. Just a excuse, is ok, another $50. The first day they left at 3:30pm and told me will come back next day at 12pm. After the bathroom has been removed. I ask him to bring the plywood left last time because now the glass wall are gone. He is mad at me because it will take him another trip to dumpsters. He keep saying the plywood is cannot be removed because he is worried about my mirror wall. Which he already broken it during the bathroom demo and I have to fix it myself, I said nothing, its accident. And then I find even the thin set is not finished. He is trying to convince me that is concrete not thin set first. I am not 7 years old and I can see what is thin set what is concrete. After the argument, he bring his hammer to do what he should do for 5min and said he cannot because the pipes above. he left with thin set pieces and unfinished work without notice, just left. And he even did not bring the one small piece plywood that being removed under my request. He is keep telling me the plywood left can be easily done by my flooring guy and the thin set he left can be easily done by my tiling guy. Well, then why should I pay you? Why should I just left all this to someone else? And even the contractors bag they used is from me. The first time he told me he needs me drive to get contractor bags, and of course I paid for it. But what if I am not home and cannot make a trip to buy contractor bags? And for the second time, he still did not bring any contractor bags. Keep using I bought for last time. I always trying to be kind to my workers and buy them lunch and dessert. I never blamed him even he leave the door open, dust and garbage in the hall way, the management office come and complaint for couple times. I never blamed him even he do not know how to shut the water off and cause leaking problem. I give extra money, give my time to work with them, buy the sushi for every time they came. And this is what they did, or should I say Garrett did? The other man was polite at least. I cleaned up everything in hallway myself for an hour and now I need clean the mess he left in the condo. Thank you Garrett. For teaching me a lesson. Find yourself another demo guy. Their price may be attractive but think about all the unfinished work and damaged things you need deal with it. I do not think anyone would like hire people being impolite and rude. Update: I have no demo experience and I used my small hammer to cleaned all thin set he left. The pipe is not the problem, the mirror is not the problem. They just do not want to after I paid in full. UPDATE: THE MIRROR WALL REPAIR COST ME OVER $1000, SO REGRET

unfortunately some people do not see eye to eye on certain things. our goal is to never leave a customer unsatisfied. in this case after trying to explain reasons why I was not comfortable with doing something the customer was still unhappy. we tried to appease them by doing some other small things they needed done as well as by disposing of other garbage not included in the price. tried to contact this customer after the fact also. I wish you luck with the rest of your renovations.
