Refael responded to my service request on the day I posted it and was on-site the next day. He sized up the job and professionally completed it although some aspects were outside of his typical requests. He troubleshot the issues and implemented a reliable result. His price was very fair. Erfan with Kanata Development Inc. wasn't the first contractor to inspect the 2 furnaces and 2 hot water tank heaters in this complex, but he was the one who actually verified that one furnace has a defective heat exchanger, by measuring the carbon monoxide emissions at the vent. Since they were off the chart he ordered an immediate shutdown. A space heater for 2 nights was a better option than CO poisoning and within 2 days he and his coworker installed a new furnace, hot water heating tank, verified functionality and serviced the second furnace and installed a new humidifier. This was a hard job in a tight, cramped closet space. I observed how hard they worked and the pride they showed in performing their job. Erfan returned a few days later to deliver 2 boxes of air filters. He is knowledgable, competent, and provides instruction along the way. A+++!

If you want to get your job done quickly, efficiently, and within budget, these are your guys. They replaced the entire eavestrough/Leafguard system on our father's estate, a large complex wth 2 garages, a 6 bedroom house and an attached second story apartment in just 6 hours including all cleanup. In addition to observing how Bledi and Olsie worked so well together, you can see the pride they have in their work shining through their smiles when the job is done. They exceeded the work initially quoted by screwing all fascia into place and adding missing parts and without extra charge. They care about the work and a satisfied customer. They gained my trust on the day they came to see the home when I was not there, and discovered a fire in the backyard during a windstorm. They videoed me in and sprang into action drawing 40 buckets of water from the pool. When I asked them to invoice me for their work they said, "No charge" with big smiles. These men are the rare kind out there and true "salt of the Earth" types; dependable, honest, and proud of their craftsmanship. Choose them for your job and you will not be disappointed. P.S. Installers were great as were the salesmen. We selected GEM because we wished to keep the original look of the home which is 60 years old. The install occurred on the hottest days of this summer and the installers worked very hard despite the heat and the challenges associated with a brick to brick window installation.
