The Kitchen and Bath Studio

We paid large deposit three months ago with a mid-April delivery/installation promise. We have had three delivery delays. Most recent promise was for June 4 delivery/installation. Three weeks later, no delivery, no contact and company will not answer emails or phone calls.

Our experience with Kitchen and Bath was in-line with all the recent reviewers. You need to take our advice and avoid this company at all costs. They will take your money, not deliver on products, not pay their sub contractors/vendors and the owner/project manager conveniently becomes unavailable once he receives your payments. A once great local company has being ruined by the current ownership. We are 2 months into our kitchen renovation and are far from finished, we choose to fire them and bring in another contractor to finish the work at a financial loss. Don't make the mistake we did...

We hired them for our kitchen reno because they always had a great reputation in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately, the people we'd heard good things about are no longer with them (although still being advertised on their website), and the place is in utter chaos.

They front load the payments and back load the licensed tradesman work. After we handed over the last big payment, the work mostly stopped. From then on, it was just weeks of ignoring our calls and emails, not showing up with no explanation why. When we threatened to come in, they would sometimes promise to send in a plumber or electrician the next day, but it never happened. A couple of times they sent in an unskilled labourer, unsupervised of course. But these guys generally did more damage than help.

We are left with 90 percent of the job paid, with no plumbing done, almost no electrical, no gas hookup, the cabinets a mess etc. Some of the work needs to be ripped out and redone. We contacted suppliers and items they swore were arriving any day now had never been ordered. By the time we gave up, we were convinced they had no intention of finishing the work.

Two Google reviews went up in the last few days saying these guys don't pay their contractors.

Not happy with the quality of workmanship and the quality of the cabinets. The contractor will not respond to requests to rectify the problems and complete the job. The cabinets have fallen apart and we now have had to hire another contractor build new ones after only a year.

We had a full kitchen renovation done including taking down a wall. Natalie and Brett at the Kitchen & Bath Studio were amazing to work with right from the design through to the finished product.
I had a design in mind with a wish list and a budget and they worked with us to to give us exactly what we wanted, while ensuring it would work in our space. Natalie also gave us great advice on the finishing touches throughout the process.
The contractors that came into the house were always courteous and clean, which made a big difference as we lived in the house during the reno.
The whole project came in on time and on budget.
I would absolutley recommend working with Natalie and Brett at Kitchen & Bath. We always felt like we were a priority and they were quick to answer all our questions (and demands) throughout.

They did an outstanding job. They did impeccable work and had high attention to detail. John the owner and Keith the manager did an excellent job on the design and really listened to our needs. They even sourced the appliances for us at substantially less than what we could get them for. Their work was on time and as promised

Our full kitchen reno required significant changes including relocation of door ways, plumbing, electrical etc. The Kitchen and Bath Studio provided the imaginative design and highest quality build with Beckerman cabinets. They promised we would be cooking Christmas dinner in November and made it happen. The work was done on time with nightly cleanup. Our appliances were ordered, delivered and installed with little fuss. No surprise costs while all attention was paid to the details. Same 2 man team was on-site for entire project making for consistent high quality. Work was non-stop for 12 days, 10 days awaiting the granite installation then 5 days to completion, exactly as we were informed. Highly recommended, as they were to us.
