Removed old AC & furnace and replaced with new AC & furnace

It all started with a meeting with Rick (salesman) wgo was very professional. He was very creative in redesigning our duct work. He also spent the time to explain all the products we purchased and pointed us in the right directions. We went with in most cases the higher level in the product due to his knowledge of the rebates that can be applied to what we purchased.

Now as for the installers they all were friendly and curtious. They started by laying out fabric to protect our house from them going in and out. This is what I like to see because I expect the same from the guys who work for me. The 3 installers made it come together and also did a great electrical job. They took the parts which they brought from the HVAC guys and made the smooth transition of the duct work from the boxy and ugly duct we had. The installers cleaned up and swept areas close by that did not even have anything to do with them. That's the type of staff that are in my opinion very professional from the start to the finish. I would reccommend Button's Heating all the time to my friends and collegues in the future.

furnace and hot water tank

After doing some research. I've gotten three quotes. I was impressed with Rick Lawson no sale pressure approach. He basically provided me with the products that would be suitable for my home. Other companies didn't visit my home and other, I didn't like his sale approach. Button's called had a opening a week earlier than schedule. They called ahead that they coming, installed high efficiency furnance and hot water tank. Thanks, Button's a job well done.

Ac, Air Cleaner,Humidifier

Buttons Heating was the best prepared company I talked too, gave reassurance that they could do job of working AC with High Eff.
furnace. Where 3 others wouldn't touch it, and 2 other quotes were the same as quote. One salesman from a Company(N????????)that that tv home guy referred and spent less then a minute and walked out and said he call us back and never did. TRANE is the best product out there, easiest to work with(father-law has worked with product before)and TRANE doesn't just give out the right to sell their product to anyone!
From Rick Lawson(the no pressure comfort consultant) to Mark Button(and his co crew of 2 other installers)to David Button(needed Humidfier put in later which wasn't available during original install) each one was both professional and friendly! And we got a 10 year parts and LABOUR warranty through Homedepot Markham/Buttons(believe it!)!
Thanks Buttons!
And yes the AC does reach the 3rd floor of our 3 storey townhouse very effectively!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH,
Jeff S.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Nothing but help pay for the cost of running ac(lol)!
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Find someone whoms been doing installs for a while! Get at least 3 written quotes! Find out about warranty of product!

Furnace Installation in Crawl Space & Tankless Water Heater

We had 2 goals - replace a 26 year old furnace and an old hot water tank with more efficient models AND free up space by relocating the new installations into our crawlspace. The job involved redesigning our ductwork along with the actual removal and installation. Joe (the owner) gave me unhurried time to figure out my options and answered my questions - including ones that I had to phone in after he left. When I checked their reputation and prices against other quotes I found that they had the reputation of being honest, doing good work and moderate pricing. That proved to be true. I had a crew of 4 guys there the first day and 3 the second day. They arrived on time, worked hard, did a reasonable job of keeping the mess "down" and understood that I was trying to free up space as well as replace the units. They even put up with my questions or suggestions "on the job". There was one minor part of the job forgotten, but Button was quick to set up a time to come back and finish it off. On the whole - I recommend the company, and plan to use them again for a gas fireplace in the future!

new installation and removal of furnace

They schedule a meeting and gave me a quote and told me how mcuh it was going to be, what was going to be done and when it could be done. And that is what happen. On time, no extra's added. They had it all done and up and running in one day. Just like they said they would. And everyone that worked for them were very profesional and so was the work that they did.

Furnace replacement

Just before Christmas our furnace packed it in and we were in a jam. Joe Button was our first call, dropped what he was doing and came right over with portable heaters. He had a crew in the house in the next couple of days. We had an emergency and he worked quickly. The installers were polite, professional and very quick. We were concerned about the expense but once again Joe had the answer. He set up financing threw the gas company so we can make monthly payments instead of having to pay up front. The financing also came with no money down or payments for 90 days and the option to pay the loan in its entirety at at time. I should also mention that we selected a high efficiency furnace and Joe was once again very helpful. The furnace was around $4200.00 but the government has a rebate program and in our case we received about $1500.00 in rebates. We got a high efficiency furnace for the price of a mid efficiency furnace. I can not say enough about our experience with Button's heating. I would highly recommend this company to anyone shopping for heating or air conditioning.

New Furance, Air & Duct Work

We required a new furance and air conditioner for our home. Initial calls to some other companies left me the with the impression that they were doing me a favour by taking my call. Lucky I had a friend that was in the business and ask him who he would recommend. Surprisingly he recommended Buttons (Not the company he was working for).
Phone Buttons and was treated like a customer should be. The installation was done when scheduled and the work preformed was excellent. I had a furance, Air conditioner, Humidifier and new dusct work installed. Service people were great and clean up the area at the end of the job.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Not much they can do to improve their service. They are already performing above the standard seen today.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
If your in their service area don't purchase from another company until you at least talk to the people at Button. They may not be the cheapest but any small additional to the price will be worth what you get from their service.

Trane Hi Eff Furnace, A/C, Humidifer, Clean Effects Air Cleaner and an energy recovery ventilator

After 23 yrs it was time to make a change in the heating & air conditioning of our home. We did some research and determined that TRANE Equipment was rated superior to other brands. I had called Rick Lawson for a quote and set an appointment. Rick went through the complete description of his offering answering questions of which I often had the answer to. He was very professional in his dealings with us. Upon our agreement to move forward he arranged with his service department to do a site visit to our home to ensure his description of the work was in agreement with that of the service department - a good idea eliminating surprises later on!!!

Installation day #1 brought in John and Bob who arrived and rolled out the "green" floor mat from side door to basement. No tracking in dirt from these fellows. Both installers worked tremendously well with Bob doing most of the outdoor work (sorry Bob!) while John tackled the rest. Day #2 brought in Spence - what a treat with that Newfoundland accent - brought back a bit of the maritimes in me.

The guys finished up and cleaned up every bit of wire, metal, pipe and what not and carried it out to the truck.

After the installation of everything was complete, John spent some time with me going over the paperwork and ensuring that we got the information we needed for the various rebates.

Not noticing until a day or so after the installation, but our doorbell wasn't working any more. I mentioned to Rick after a follow up meeting from the installation, and the office called me to have it immediately looked after - it was nothing more than a wire whose connector had come off during the installation of the insulated ERV piping.

Bottom line here is I believe Button's understands customer service and that satisfied customers are the true testimony of a business that has been in business since 1977.
