Carson Dunlop & Associates Home Inspection

Great service. Received the inspection report on the same day! I don’t normally leave reviews, but definitely want to recommend this company.

(Receptionist over the phone may come off a little rough around the edges, but they have good intentions.)

We put a conditional offer on a house and needed to have an inspection completed within 5 business days. We called up Carson Dunlop based on our real estate agents advice, and found that booking an appointment was super easy and quick. They sent through the terms and conditions and receipt within minutes of my first phone call.

We had Sheila as our inspector, and she was prompt, and very friendly. She also was very thorough and despite COVID-19, did a quick walk-through the house with us, to identify any issues/ concerns/ and possible maintenance required in the future. She also flagged possible future concerns and offered that we could call her up when we move in if we have any further questions / concerns.
Overall, we are very happy with our experience with Carson Dunlop and would happily recommend them to family and friends.

Josh arrived early and started working immediately. He respected the Covid rules. He seemed diligent and through in his review. He took the time to verify the installation dates of equipment, verified plumbing and went to the roof(s) to inspect conditions. He took pictures to illustrate his findings. He spoke to us after the inspection and provided us with an overview of his finding which aligned to the written report so there were no surprises. The report was sent to us as promised within the timeline agreed (about 5 hours after inspection). I would recommend Josh without hesitation.

Carson Dunlop inspections are on the pricey side compared to many other inspection services. However the service itself is very good.

Carson Dunlop Home Inspection did an excellent and thorough job inspecting the house we purchased. The inspector, Gordon, was meticulous in his inspection and reporting. I would highly recommend them to protect your investment!

The Buyer was unreasonable and rude. The Buyer mistreated each of the 5 people in attendance. Hal, the home inspector was "grace under fire". Patiently answering, re answering their many big and many nit picking questions, many asked several times. The home inspection should have taken 2 1/2 to 3 hours and we were there for 4 hours. Hal's report did get sent that night and although the report showed the home to have a few issues all were very fixable and could have been accomplished for a reasonable sum, the Buyer walked away from the purchase. Hal worked very late to get that report out after an exhausting client interaction. He was wonderful.

Broke recommended them. They showed up on time the next day. Reviewed home thoroughly. Seemed to know what they're talking about. Produced thorough report within 2 days as requested. Great job.

I found the entire inspection process to be very well done. Carson Dunlop was recommended by our real estate agent. Since the house was built in 1967, we wanted to be sure to have a thorough and professional inspection.The inspector arrived on time and we went through the house together with a very detailed inspection. He took the time to answer all the questions I had. He discovered a number of minor issues that were highlighted in the final report that I would never have found myself. As well he had a variety of interesting methods to look for potential issues. The use of the thermal imaging camera was also well worth the additional cost.We were very pleased with the detailed final report, as well as the accompanying home maintenance book. Overall it was a very professional inspection and I would certainly recommend Carson Dunlop to anyone looking for a home inspection.
