Concept Cabinets

After living in my house for 10 years I decided it was time to upgrade from the builder kitchen I had when I bought the house. A friend recommended Concept Cabinets. I was happy with my choice to go with them. They were easy to deal with, provided lots of options, kept me informed on the progress of the project. The install was quick and clean.

Glen designed, fabricated, and installed my kitchen about ten years ago. Within the first 18 months, the paint finish started to crackle near the oven, on an end panel, and on the hood cover for the fan. He told me it was the "glaze or lacquer" and told me to remove my oven and he would replace the oven area and end panel. I had the oven removed and reinstalled at a cost of $250. I offered to split this cost with him in half and he refused. I was being generous. There was no reason I should have to pay any of that cost since the oven removal was due to his faulty workmanship. So I paid it all and these crackled areas were replaced. Then almost two years later, the end panel crackled again. My fan hood cover is now completely crackled. Other areas of the kitchen have not withstood the test of time either. The fronts of two of my drawers have cracked down the center and many of the drawer track systems have had to be replaced/repaired. My island was also not properly secured to the floor so it is constantly moving. One of the kitchen repairmen who came to repair my drawers showed me other instances of poor installation/ workmanship on the door fronts, and drawer mechanisms. He also pointed out design flaws where corners were cut to increase profit on the price quoted, but did not maximize space and created hard to reach storage areas. I am not interested in having Glen back to repair his mess since I don't trust his workmanship, advice, or repairs. So I am spending additional money to repair his errors or lack of quality on a regular basis, as things break down.
The bottom line, if you want a kitchen that looks good for longer than a few years -stay away. Otherwise, I can guarantee you will be forever spending money repairing their mess- until you get a whole new kitchen. It isn't an accident that all the other positive reviews posted here do not speak to the durability of the kitchens, and that is because the reviews were posted shortly after installation.
(By the way, the den wall unit they designed, fabricated, and installed is not doing much better. I have had to have the drawer tracks replaced and the door fronts are splitting as well. Fortunately, many are high up so most guests don't see the cracks.)

This company was recommended. After several quotes with others, We are glad to have found and have them built our 2 wall units in the living room and add wine rack and shelves on the Kitchen Island .From start to finish, Glenn is nothing but a very professional contractor. From the selection of paint to the final finish, we were always consulted. Glenn was very open to suggestions, hence finish product looks exactly what we want, we are very much satisfied, and will definitely recommend them. Also, I might add, they are very clean while they are working, always cleaning up. Mike, the assistant is an asset to the establishment. Altogether , it was a great experience and a well done job. I recently purchased an above-the-range microwave with vent, to replace my the old hood vent. Measuring it out, the microwave would sit too close (low) to the stove-top, and so, decided to have the 2 cabinets above the stove cut in height, so that the microwave, when installed, would fit perfectly in place as it's meant.

No job too small (or big) for Jason, as I called a few cabinet shops around the area, and they either turned me down, or simply gave a quote ridiculously high, so that I would turn them down.

Jason was really nice and a pleasure to work with. Asked to which dimensions to modify the cabinets doors (patterned), and 2 weeks later, had them perfectly cut to fit and finished, along with new pre-drilled holes for hinges. Couldn't be happier with the finished product. Couldn't even tell they were modified. Thank you very much Jason. Will see you again for when I do a major reno.

Jason worked well with us and we are thrilled with the results. The kitchen cabinets are beautiful, he fulfilled his contract and then some. He put in pull outs in one cabinet that I wasn't expecting and they really improve the function. He listened to our concerns and acted on them quickly.
We would happily work with Jason again.

Forget the other so-called "custom" kitchen reno companies--the two I got quotes from use pre-fab cabinet bases in standard sizes, and I have a huge kitchen. Concept Cabinets is truly FULLY CUSTOM--they build to fit YOUR space. Jason Breau was so helpful every step of the way from design to completion. And with the THOUSANDS we saved by dealing directly with the cabinet maker, we were able to install custom cabinetry not only in the kitchen but in 2 full baths, powder room, master bath, laundry room and mud room! Jason and his crew showed up on time and completed all work on shedule as promised. The entire experience was great and the final results are gorgeous! I recently bought a new espresso machine that didn't quite fit under my cabinet space. I called Jason and he came out that same day and took the under-cabinet valance to his shop for a trim down. He also kindly took one of the cabinet doors my husband had damaged. A few days later he reinstalled both free of charge and good as new!! I can't say enough about Jason Breau and the team at Concept Cabinets--they are an exceptional bunch.

We priced out new kitchen cabinets at a major hardware chain and also at Concept Cabinets (on a recommendation). The hardware chain had a promotion running for free installation but Concept price was still lower by over $1000.
The cabinets look great and Glen's workmanship/professionalism was first class. I would recommend them to everyone.
