Based on homestars reviews I called the company and had a same day appointment scheduled which was appreciated. The service man Raffi came and for the cost of $100 diagnosed the problem as a faulty compressor that would need to be replaced. Given that it was a compressor problem only I decided to exchange the piece on my own.

Based on homestars reviews I called the company and had a same day appointment scheduled which was appreciated. The service man Raffi came and for the cost of $100 diagnosed the problem as a faulty compressor that would need to be replaced. He told me that the part was in his van and it would be close to $300 on top of the diagnosis fee. While he went to the truck to get the part I googled the part to see it listed for under $20. When told about the low cost he said that they have to drive and get parts and store parts in the truck and that is why they cost as much as he quoted. I politely declined the part and he charged me $100 for service and left. I went to a 24 hr parts store nobel and bought the part for $7.77 and replaced it on my own in 5 min. I understand the need to make a profit but that was ridiculous.
