D-Tech Appliance Servicing

People are sometimes quick to criticize but slow to praise, I assure you I have nothing but praises for the technician Dirk who came to fix my washer. Presents himself well, knowledgeable and professional.

We bought D-Tech to fix our fridge which was leaking. They sent a guy to fix it, he had to take out the freezer drawer and reinstall it again. The leaking stopped. Later on ice started to form on top of the freezer drawer, we called D-Tech again, a different guy came and SAID it was bec the drawer was not properly installed (he did not know that we had the same company fix it before). This guy even said, he is the only one in the company who fixes fridges. So who on earth came the first time!!!! They charged us $111.80. When I questioned him why should we be charged for a mistake the first guy did, he asked me to sort it out with the company. I paid the guy and called the company. The lady was not polite at all and she said the drawer was not removed the first time! My husband was at the house during the first fix and he’s the one who had to put all the freezer contents back in the drawer. After a long discussion she said she will talk to her manager and come back to me. She was in a rush to hang up but I managed to ask her when she'll get back to me and she replied the same day. Since then we have not heard back from them, nor do they pick up the phone nor get back to our messages.

Had D-Tech come out to look at our Maytag washer, which has a loud screeching noise. The technician, Dirk, was right on time, courteous and professional. He only ended up doing an inspection, as the repair was going to cost the same as replacing the unit. He was very up front about this and there was no pressure to fork out for the unnecessary repair/parts. He also assured us that the machine was in good order other than the drum brake being noisy.

Maytag/Whirlpool require their techs to take an exam every 6 months and D-Tech was definately on top of things.
