Desi's Aluminum Ltd

Absolutely the most ignorant and disrespectful bunch I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. No zero rating like they deserve. I told the supervisor that the guy needed a fall protection system... he said "what ***** business is it of yours?" "He's on the roof so hes fine" are you kidding me?.(See photos). Guess they will be seeing my friends at the MOL very soon.
Edit: based on your response you are either ignorant or grossly misinformed regarding fall prevention regulations: workers are required to have fall protection in place when working above 9.6ft or 3m. What was observed was neither "standard construction methods" or legal.

We had Desi's install our vinyl siding 8 years ago and were very pleased with their work....until we discovered that the siding was fading unevenly, certain strips faded and turned chalky white while the others were fine. It started about Year 5, by this year we could not ignore any longer. We contacted Desi's (we have a 10-year warranty) who told us to contact the manufacturer directly. We thought it would have been good customer service for them to do this for us, but nonetheless we obliged. The manufacturer said we need to cut 2 pieces of siding, one faded, one not, and send to them -- they said to contact Desi's. Gord at Desi's refused to send someone over to do that for us, saying they no longer dealt with that manufacturer so we were on our own. But, we protested, YOU chose the manufacturer, not us. We chose YOU, and YOU gave us the warranty. Nope, they were not going to help us at all. Very disappointing.

I had a small 10' long piece of siding come of my house and I needed a quick repair. After sending them the pictures of the repair area I was told over the phone that it was at least a 2-3 hour job for two men. I expressed that I felt it would only take 30 minutes or so and requested a discount if it took less time. Anyway, I had to pay them $ 450 plus HST in advance or they would not show up. I also asked them to take measurements while they were here so I could get a price from them on a new exterior door and storm door. As it turns out, this was a mistake.

When they did the job it only took them 40 minutes. In fact, the crew left without telling me they were done and asking me to inspect the work. I then called to request a discount since it took at lot less time than 2-3 hours. The owner refused saying "that's the way it is - you signed the contract - too bad".

I believe I have been gouged and I told them that I will never use their service again and will not get pricing on a new exterior door and storm door from them either.

Desi's did our sofit, facia, eaves, columns, downspouts. It is looking good and working properly after two years. There were great to deal with in terms of price, quality and punctuality. They were faster at completing the job than expected. When I shopped around they were the best price.

When we purchased our 1970s bungalow, it was apparent that some new windows were in order. We consulted with our contractor and he recommended Desi's Aluminum for all of our window needs. Being first time home owners, we weren't certain which type of windows would be best for our home. Desi came to our house and we discussed all of the windows that needed replacing and he suggested which windows to use. We also discussed repairing some exterior aluminum around some windows to prevent any future leaks from occurring. His team came in one day and got to work replacing our windows, fixing aluminum where required and trimming out the windows inside the house. We couldn't have asked for a better team of people to be working on our job. Also, the expertise that Desi provides is something that you can't find in a big box store. His knowledge of the products that he carries is top notch and his crew of installers are the best! I highly recommend Desi and his team to all of my family and friends!

From the sales person to the employees that came out to do the work they were extremely helpfull, curtious on time and cleaned up after the work was complete. The work was done precisly right and the price was very resonable. I would definitely recommend this company again!
