New house that is approx. 4 years old. Since instalation and every year, I have shingles that blow off (never had this type of issue in any other house I have owned). They have taken no responsibility for this and said they would come and fix it for over $400 - for ONE shingle. I have had to go to another company to fix this and will have to continue to fix it until the rest of the roof needs replacement (happens every year that some blow off). I spent about an hour on the phone with them the last time this happened and got an earful about how there was no way that this was improper installation and it was the issue of the shingle manufacturer.... Not worth the effort to try to get them back to fix it. Will definitely not use them again - there are better contractors out there.

We're sorry to hear that your experience with Dominion has been less than satisfactory, but on a new build project the responsibility for deficiencies lies with the builder and is based on the specs they provide to the various contractors who participate in the project. It's often unfair to homeowners who are not made aware of the procedures for deficiencies with a new build, so they end up contacting the contractor(s) directly for assistance. Unfortunately, many contractors do not offer assistance in these cases, leaving the homeowner to find other ways of dealing with the issue. But Dominion has and always will do whatever possible to help the homeowner. In this case, we offered our Tune-Up Service, which is a flat rate service call and includes the shingle repair you referenced, any other minor repairs that are able to be done on-site, and a complete assessment of the entire roof. The service is designed to not only attend to minor repairs right away, but also provide a path forward for the homeowner if issues/deficiencies are of a larger nature. You declined the Tune-Up Service and opted for a negative review of a company that simply tried to help. Have you checked with the shingle manufacturer about any warranty? There have been several cases over the last few years of defective products that are allowing homeowners who have such products on their roofs some recourse from the manufacturer. This might be something to look into...
