Ethan Allen

Ethan Allen has a smallish selection but excellent quality for area rugs. I had a design dilemma because I could figure out what colour area rug to go with. I was looking for an area rug to help me pick an accent colour. Ethan Allen had the perfect rug. It is the crooked stripe design which was nice and casual for my family room. There are multicolours so I have lots to choose from for the rest of my accents. The Sales person was very helpful too.

Designers work to maximize their commission and totally disregard your needs. They pretend to be helpful, but you get stuck with an over furnished house and a massive bill. The minute you have a problem they start ignoring you and turn on the attitude when they actually get back to you. The showroom looks nice, but do yourself a favor and stay away from this location.

We purchased a living room set at Ethan Allen and it was damaged when we received it. It took two weeks for someone to come out and repair it. No one has ever called to follow up to ensure customer satisfaction was achieved. The sales rep we dealt with was supposed to call two weeks ago with a quote on some additional furniture we wanted to purchase but we've never even heard back from her. With the amount of money we spent at this store, one would expect better customer service. I would never buy anything from Ethan Allen again and I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I have purchased numerous pieces from Ethan Allen (approx. $40K) with numerous problems. Must agree with previous email on this company "Nice Designs But Poor Quality & Poor Service".
Just about everything I have ordered with them, there is always something wrong with the item (11 out of 16 items). You have to continuously chase after them to replace/fix damages or defects. It's like they ignore you, hoping that you'll just give up and move on. BE AWARE that when you purchase items you have only 72hrs to return for credit less 10% restocking fee. So if you have a problem with an item, they will call you to discuss near the 72hr mark with little to no answers guaranteeing you nothing. So your left with little to no choice but to "settle" with either 1) not a full refund or 2) continuous chasing (months) of their customer service to replace/fix problems.
I will never purchase anything more from them again!

We went to Ethan Allen because we liked the design of their pieces however were left frustrated and disappointed with the bad customer service. We waited over a month longer than we were told for the pieces to arrive, than when it finally arrived, there was a damaged drawer which look another 14 weeks to have reordered. When it arrived, it was the wrong drawer and had to be reordered again. Our calls to sales and service were never returned and when we did get a hold of them they couldn't give us any definite answers to our questions about time of delivery or what was being done about the damaged drawer. We tried calling the head office but they told us that each of the stores in Canada were franchises and they had no control over how the individule stores were run. In the end, we were left with a beautiful looking bedroom set but feeling like we'd been taken for a ride. We'll never buy anything from them again.
