When we moved into our unit 6 years ago the fireplace did not work. After 2 or 3 visits from service people we were told that the unit had to be total replaced $4000 -$5000.
One last call to Gas Fix. We were told they had the parts and repaired the fireplace. Our pilot light went out serval day ago, called Gas Fix. They arrived totally cleaned the unit, lite the pilot and we were all good to go. Scott was friendly and knowledgeable. He also cleaned up after himself. Great Job

Thank you James for your review and having Gas Fix technicians out to service your Montigo (Canadian Heating Products) fireplace. It was back in March 2012 when we originally serviced the unit. The mercury flame switch (MFS) had failed. When the MFS fails, most other contractors want to tell you it cannot be fixed and that you need a new fireplace over $4000+. We know that is not true. When that switch fails, the repair is replacing the gas valve and pilot assembly. It's because we want to be able to take care of our customers that same day, our technicians carry over 300+ of the most common parts on their vehicles. We had the parts and converted the MFS that same day. In October 2013, we were back to install two fans for the unit and a heat sensor. Both Dwayne, who did the original repairs in 2012 and 2013, and Scott have all these parts on their service vehicles. Now, most future repairs will most likely be limited to maintenance as was the case when Scott was there on December 10. Thank you again for using us over the years. Should you require any service in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us. ~ Jason - Office Manager at Gas Fix (and former accountant for your complex) ~
