Heating Plus Heating & Air Conditioning

Our very good friends were kind enough to recommend Heating Plus to us, they had used them for many years and were very happy with the service that they received, we had already received three quotes from three other heating contractors and the pricing and recommendations varied greatly which led us to much confusion. When Paul from Heating Plus came out to talk to me and my wife we were very happy and confident in his abilities to install our new furnace for us he was not just a salesman like the other heating companies sent out. Originally we were only going to buy a single stage furnace for $1995.00 but as Paul explained the available rebates to us it made sense to go with a two stage variable speed furnace because after rebates the price was the same $1995.00 for a much better and more efficient furnace! none of the other three contractors that came out took the time to explain the available rebates only Paul, we are glad we decided to give him the job, the installers along with Paul did a fantastic job installing the furnace and steam humidifier we have already recommended others to Heating Plus and plan to have them install a new air conditioning system for us in the spring, thank you very much heating plus.

My wife and I were looking to replace our outdated heating and air conditioning system it was more than 20 years old and we knew by the high bills it was time to make a change! We had received a flyer in the mail from Heating Plus so we decided to call them first. Lucy in the office was very helpful and arranged an appointment with Paul the owner of the company, he came out and spent over 2 hours explaining everything and he answered all our questions in detail, we had no idea the rebates that were available to us, until he explained them, we decided to purchase a two stage variable speed furnace and a 14 seer air conditioning unit because these offered the highest rebates (almost $2000.00 back in rebates) Heating Plus put both units in with ease,handled all the rebate forms for us, the job was excellent and the pricing especially after we got the rebates back was amazing! The installers are very polite and take their time with the install to ensure the equipment is installed and working 100%. We are very happy to recommend Paul and Lucy of Heating Plus and their crew to anyone who is looking for a new Furnace and or Air Conditioning System. 1.We hired them to get a furnace installed they installed the furnace did good job first time.
2. called them second time they installed a furnace and AC.. AC never worked after the installation...also they said they are not liscenced to get rebates for AC work( they didn't reveal this on their estimate)..AC is till not working.. if they want to come back and fix it.. they are welcome to call me !!
3. They did come to fix my furnace see no.1 made 2 visits wanted to bill me for those visits.. it was a pressure switch problem on a goodman furnace.. their service tech blew the motherboard of the furnace he bypassed the fuse on the board..Called some one else.. all done in less than 45 mins. 262 cad including taxes.. if we would have called some one else.. it would have only costed 150 cad to replace the pressure switch.

We hired this company based on the fact that they had excellent reviews at this site, but we would advise people to think twice before calling them. We had a problem with our ac unit not working and it took close to 3 weeks before someone returned our call to make an appointment. It took another week to get an appointment, and longer still to get one that was confirmed and kept. Some other problems:

1. The tech Angel seemed very nice and he fixed the wiring on our AC. it was too tight, a problem left by the builder. The ac worked for 2 weeks after Angel fixed it, and we had another storm and it stopped working again. therefore we didn't get a permanent fix. if angel knew that this wasn't going to be a permanent fix, then he should have told us.

2. we called and booked another appt and were told that if the ac was breaking because of an incomplete fix from the company, it would not be charged. they confirmed and broke 2 appointments. then angel called and tried to trouble shoot the ac problem over the fone offering multiple reasons our ac could not be working. obviously we are aware of this but since fixing the wiring fixed the problem...its easy to put 2 and 2 together. if the tech thought the wiring was a possible problem but wasn't sure, he should have let us know that first appointment, and then charged for whatever number of appts to diagnose and fix. he didn't. and then to call your customer and try to advise them on the phone...thats ridiculous.

Do NOT purchase from this company. Check the Ministry of Consumer Services - it lists this company as one to BEWARE of - unfortunately I did not check the website - lesson learned. Our new a/c installed on Oct. 23, 2007 failed on first startup in May of 2008 - the problem was only resolved on July 8/08 after having several of their people supposedly "fix" the problem. The problem on my unit was due to INSTALLATION ERROR. Heating Plus technician installed a regulating valve on the inside of the a/c unit that should have been installed on the outside of the unit. This resulted in the coil freezing and water damage to my basement wall, furniture and carpeting. Poor workmanship is the key here. The kicker is that every time I called them to fix their problem they BLAMED me, the home owner - when it was all their FAULT. This husband and wife operation is small and are only concerned about installation of new units which means income for them. Servicing their faulty work and equipment is not a high priority for this company. If you choose to use them and their incompetent staff - ask to see their trade licence BEFORE they start the job. You will be sorry if you don't. Don't trust their workmanship and as for service - that's a laugh. We are more than happy to speak with anyone about this experience from HELL.

My Husband and I had Heating Plus install a 14 Seer Air Conditioning Unit as well as a Natural Gas BBQ line for us about three weeks ago, the installation was completed very well and the unit was working great up until two days ago, we called Heating Plus and their service guy was here within 2 hours, he concluded that the valve on the evaporator coil was faulty and needed to be changed, he changed the coil (all work was completed under warranty so No charge to us )and the system is working 100% ,while this problem is on the manufactures side and can't be helped it's nice to know that Heating Plus does stand behind their work and will work hard to resolve a problem!

We are fortunate that our neighbours recommended Heating Plus to us, we had already signed with another heating and air conditioning contractor but cancelled because we felt they didn't let us know about the additional hidden costs! Our neighbours told us to call Heating Plus to install the Air Conditioning System, They came out and gave us a total price with no hidden costs and installed the system last week. They were exceptional and the installers were very friendly. Please take our advice and call Heating Plus they will provide your family with upfront pricing and very good service.

I think we are the 10th custumer to use the services of Heating Plus on Oakwood Avenue, My neighbours recommended Heating Plus to us, I called Heating Plus and recieved an honest opinion on the condition of our present Air Conditioning system, the estimate was very fair. They were punctual and the installation was done well. I highly recommend them.
