When homeowners are looking for contractors, they hope that they have chosen a dependable and qualified company. Well look no more, Hickory Dickory Decks, and more specifically, Will and BJ’s work was astounding!
We acquired other quotes for our backyard job and literally, the sales reps would show up, measure and provide us with a quote. NOT Will and BJ! They came to our home after work hours, sat down with us and did a needs assessment. What was comforting to know, was that Will and BJ were the actual guys that were going to do the work. Once they understood what we wanted and our hesitations about losing too much light in our home, they took us outside and walked us through their proposal. They answered every question and supported their answers with the specs of how each part of the build would be achieved. They further enhanced their explanation with additional comments regarding the cosmetics of the build, how they would do it so the roof wouldn’t look like it was up on stilts and how a gabled roof would bring in more light. We knew just in that one meeting this is the company we wanted to work with and booked the job.
The work was planned for the spring and Will kept us well informed regarding the start date. The job was completed in about 2 weeks and we were overwhelmed with the grandeur of the build. Will and BJ provide digital images so you can visualize the structure, but this experience doesn’t come close to how you feel when you are looking at the finished project.
I remember day one, when they started to take the bricks out of our house to affix the roof to the framing between the first and second floor of our home. My husband looked at me and said “You know the point of no return? Well, I think we just passed it!” We went out to look at the work and BJ got down from his ladder, came over to us and said, “You’re freaking out right now, right?” He was completely empathetic with what we were feeling and just walked us through the building permit requirements.
These two guys are the politest guys you’ll ever meet, and BJ’s laugh is so heartwarming that you will wish you were in on the stories being told while they work.
After the build was complete with only electrical and roofing finishing touches remaining, Will was on it like it was his top priority. He is extremely fast to respond and ensures that you are 100% satisfied with your project.
